I put DH on my insurance- He owns his own business and did not have any before we were married b/c it was too $$$$.

I'm in the process of going on his. It's so much cheaper and better coverage. he's going on my dental cause his dental is horrible!

DH went under mine; he is a type 1 diabetic and was on an insurance plan where he had to pay for almost all his supplies. Now that he is under mine, he doesn't pay for anything...that was our main reason for switching him .

I would advise you or your DH to talk to your HR dept. to make sure you can switch to his insurance...most insurances aren't open enrollment, and since you've been married for a month, you might not be eligible to go on his plan anymore. That's probably not the case, but def. check to make sure!

we both have our own at the moment, but if we do go on the same one DH will have to come on mine...didnt wanna change it at the begining of the year cuz we still had our seperate accounts, and it would have taken more out of my paycheck...lol so i didnt wanna do it, but now that all our money gets put into 1 account it really doesnt matter! so next year we will prob switch.

I'm on DH's and still kept mine. I use his as the primary. He works for the LIRR and the medical benefits are AMAZING and we don't pay in for them.

I kept mine for the time being (probably until the end of the year). I pay a very small amount into mine and wanted to give it up but will use it as a negotiating ploy at the end of the year for next year's raise!

DH never had insurance! He's worked off the books for years so he's been paying out of pocket or just avoiding the doctor entirely.

So naturally, he came under mine when we got married. I can't wait to send his azz to the doctor's!!

He's on mine - I'm a NYC teacher and I have great benefits for not a lot of money!
