Re: health insurance ?

are you referring to how much of the monthly fee they pick up for us?

In my Co. it's a sliding scale based on salary. The higher your salary, the more you pay. It's pretty fair.....it's anywhere from $0 - $200+ per month for single coverage I believe.

Re: health insurance ?

I pay about $40 pre-tax dollars per month for medical, dental and eye care. It is very fair and I have no problems paying that at all.

Re: health insurance ?

I'm not sure what percent they are paying, but I pay more now than I've ever paid! When I joined the company almost 2 years ago I had been told that the agreement with the salaried group was that they would offer a PPO but only if the salaried group would pay all increases beyond the first amount that the company was covering (don't know what that is) All I know is that I was paying $44 a WEEK pre-tax for DH and I and it was going to go up to about $78 a week. We were able to keep it down to $57 a week by dropping dental and the enhanced vision package.

Re: health insurance ?

My company pays 60%. Most of my friends are covered 100%. We're also about to switch - again - for about the 4th time. They keep raising rates, so my company keeps trying to find another health provider that is reasonable.

Re: health insurance ?

My company pays 85%. Rob's - just about 100% based on credits. We are on my plan, since I personally think it's better and he has a cash opt-out program. So we get money back from his company which pays for the insurance at mine!!! Pretty good deal!

Re: health insurance ?

My company's coverage is a joke! They pay 50%. For a single on the HMO it is $59 a paycheck! If you add on your family it is about $175 a paycheck. So double that for two paychecks a month..and it is not even a PPO! It covers nothing and there are fewer and fewer doctors in the network. Plus there is a $200 deductable before your coverage kicks in!
So needless to say I am on DH and I think they pay about 85%.

Re: health insurance ?

I pay about $80 a month for a single and I'm not sure what percentage that is. I have very good coverage though.

My DH's company pays 100% but his coverage ****s and I don't want to switch to it until I have too.

Re: health insurance ?

We are both on my medical health insurance (Oxford). I also cover us both through dental (Aetna).

My company picks up only 55% of the cost for the Oxford Plan. For the family plan (of which DH and I had to take even though we don't have children), I pay close to $350 per month.

For dental, I pay something like $20 a month.
