health insurance now that you're married

whose health insurance do you use? Are you still covered under your old plan? OR, does your husband have you under his plan?

We have our own for now but DH is under my dental and vision becasue his has an awful plan for those.

I'm under DH's. Before we got married I was on a COBRA plan from my old survival job.

Unfortunately I pay for my own at the moment.I was under my husbands,but his business isn't doing so well, so the money isn'treally there to cover me any longer. It stinks, but hopefully things pickup.I feel bad, cause my husband doesn't even have insurance now

Wonder if our hubbies are in the same union. It took over a month for them to file the paperwork correctly. But in the end, it's worth it since we don't have to pay into his health insurance. I'm not eligible for insurance through my company until February, but I may take it as a secondary since I don't have to pay for that either.

I'm under my hubbys insurance. I actually have been for a long time, even before we were married. I needed insurance and his company offers covergae for 'domestic partners'. (people who are not married but live together) If I remember correctly, we had to set up a savings account together, own stock together, and live together. I think it's very nice that they offer this.

I did that too! I was so excited that I got to be on his plan even before the big day~ made life much easier!!!

I am under my DHs, since the buyback for mine was much better than his. In the end the coverage was more or less the same, but with the new year they are upped all the copays so mine is probably better now
