so girls all i can say is give your man an extra hug and kiss and tell him one more time just how much you love him.
as many of of you know Tom had his cat scan yesterday, the results came back and he has been diagnosed w/ lung disease, stage 2.
He will be having a procedure on Wednesday that will biopsy his lung and give us some more answers. Right now he is scheduled for an outpatient procedure, but given the fact of how many markings he has he will probally need to stay in the ICU for a few days and be monitored. that is perfect for me b/c that is where i work, so i know he will have around the clock care!
DH is scared, and of course so am I. this whole waiting time i have been sooooo calm and strong for him and when he needs me to be the strongest literally my heart is BREAKING i have been crying on and off all day.
all i ask is that you all continue your prayers, this procedure needs to be done and with further medication and steriods throughout his life he will fight this

Oh, Colleen, I am SO sorry you and Tom are going through this. I will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong...Tom is lucky to have someone like you there by his side through all of this.

OMG Coll.... I cant even... I couldnt even finish your post without crying...my heart just breaks for you both....I was in church today for Good Friday & I was praying & praying so hard for you both....I will continue those prayers until you guys get through this...& I know you will! I am so glad he will have you in the ICU to watch over him.

i know it is hard to be strong, when it gets hard and you need to let it out, please use these boards as your outlet
Just try to stay positive, the waiting is the worst part, hopefully all your questions will be answered soon.
It is definately a good thing that he will be in the hospital where you work, so you can keep a close eye on him to make sure he is getting nothing but the best care.

oh colleen im so sorry about the news. on the bright side, at least it is diagnosed so proper steps for recovery can be taken. life doesnt throw things your way unless you can handle it so you guys WILL get through this! my prayers and thoughts are with you and DH
