help!! I just got back from vacation and my puppy is acting all weird and Im scared!

I just picked up my 17 week old puppy from my sil's place and he has been acting all weird. She told me he has diareah, she said that she stopped feeding him the dry food becasue he didnt like it as much as the canned food ( no duh ) and he threw up for the first time ever last night and has diarea for the first time. He is usually very playful and active and now he is lethargic and sleeps anywhere and everywhere, also I have never ever heard him bark before and now he is non stop barking. I dont know what happened? He also is afraid of coming up the stairs- he used to run up the stairs before, HELP!!!!!

He is probably scared because he was just away from home and he is just skiddish. He is probably just nervous from the change (I know my dog HATES any change! and when we used to leave her at my brothers, it would take a few days for her to adjust back to her comfort level)

As far as the food issue, being that you feed your dog dry food and she switched, your dog is probably just not having an easy time with it!

We dont give my dog canned food because she has the same reaction to it! We also stopped with table scraps because of that!

Give it a day or two and if he doenst go back to normal then I would just call the vet and see what they think!

any change in diet really affects them. give your pup a few days and then go to the vet if it doesnt get better.

Also, the heat could be causing the puppy to be lethargic and have diarreah. We just went through that with our 13 wk old. Don't worry unless there is blood.
