Help me pick my big fat wedding picture . . . EDITED w/pictures of our faces
I am finally getting around to picking pics for our album and for framing . . . and, of course, I would love some opinions.
I'm trying to figure out which one to make the 'main' wedding picture for us -- like the BIG one in our home forever sort of thing (we'll have a more 'portrait' styled picture printed 5x7).
ETA: Okay, okay . . . since so many of you like close-ups, I'm adding a few that I would consider blowing up (to 8x10 max). I guess I'm just uncomfortable having my face really big on the wall. (we're thinking of having our 'big one' be like 11x14 -- which I know is not terribly big, but we're sort of understated people.)
Enjoy! The poll is closed but I'd still like to hear feedback, especially from those of you who have done portraits on the wall. Thanks!

Although the water wheel is the one I like the most out of the 3 I agree with the above posters.

Re: Help me pick my big fat wedding picture
I vote for the second one! (The third one is also a great choice, though.) I think huge enlargements look better when they are not 'faces' pictures. This is totally just my opinion, but when pictures are that big, it's better if they are postcard-esque shots. That way it's like the image oft he two of you is part of a beautiful piece of art. Otherwise, it becomes, at best, like living in the showroom of a portrait photographer, or at worst, a little creepy, as if two enormous sets of eyes are watching you from your walls. No offense to anyone, I just get weirded out out if I see my face that big looking back at me. You can always scatter full-front photos as 5x7s and 8x10s, or as part of collages, to make sure that your wedding-day faces are represented somewhere in your home.
Good luck choosing-- you have beautiful pictures!

TOTALLY what I feel! When we went to our photographers we asked what types of pictures are commonly chosen for the gigantic enlargments they have with the pkg and they said it's really a personal preference. Some like more scenery and others prefer close ups.... Both DH and I don't want a 16x20 picture of our faces... We definitely prefer scenery. I voted for the 'under the trees'...amazing, beautiful picture. You can do 8x10 of the close up pics.
