Help me with curtains....

Ok so that is a picture of my kitchen... We have since painted the walls this Nautical blue color... I want to get these for the sliding glass door and window (the kitchen paint color is actually a little lighter than the color of the navy curtains in the picture):

Click me

Which color should I get? White? Khaki?

Or does anyone know someplace I can find a similar panel track with maybe more color options??? I hate vertical blinds so I thought this would be a good alternative.

Re: Help me with curtains....

Your kitchen is gorgeous As for color I think it depends both the navy and a tan would look good and it looks like you have plenty of light coming in so the navy wouldnt darken the room up much. What do you liek better ? if the room openly adjacent to another room- if so whats the color scheme their - Im kinda jealous of your kitchen now

Re: Help me with curtains....

LOL thanks... that kitchen and our masterbath are pretty much the reasons we bought the house

It's open to the dining room which is a pale yellow and that is open to the living room which is a slate blue/gray color... The whole first floor is pretty much open... and now that I think about it I have no idea what is supporting our second floor...

This is a picture from Thanksgiving but you can see the wall color in the dining room...

AH! Here is a picture of the blue in the kitchen... (it's also a picture of what my kitchen looks like after I attempt to cook but you can see the blue so it serves a purpose

Re: Help me with curtains....

I would get ivory. 1st of all cause I love the combo of navy w/ivory and 2nd because its soft and lets in light - ur walls are relatively pretty dark so its nice to have the 'window' area light and letting in light

Re: Help me with curtains....

I kind of like the navy, I'd be nervous that your gorgeous kitchen will look nautical with the ivory curtains and blue walls.

Re: Help me with curtains....

Is the Navy too close to the color of the walls? I found more of the same type of curtains at Blinds to go... would a Chocolate or Espresso go even though the countertops are black?

ETA: I have such issues with curtains... we've been in the house for over a year and I still have naked windows!

Re: Help me with curtains....

I would do a sheer white with jute blinds. Think something like this:

ETA: Just saw your other pics and you have jute blinds! I would still do white curtains

Re: Help me with curtains....

omg i didnt read the post and actually suggested jcpenny when you already had a the link....

If you are set on that curtain then go with the khaki.. white is delicate and since the walls are navy you dont want navy curtains too

the woven wood looking ones are cute too

Re: Help me with curtains....

i like the espresso and think they'll go even with the black counters - it doesnt look too overly dark

also, where do you live and are there houses for sale nearby? and when i buy a house can you help me decorate? your kitchen is to-die-for!

Re: Help me with curtains....

Hmmm when I click the link, it is not coming up with either white or khaki as a choice. I was thinking khaki though before I even clicked it...if that's a choice, I think it would look great.

We live in Farmingdale... there are a few houses for sale where we live... and I can help you decorate as long as you don't ask for help with the curtains!!! I'm seriously curtain impaired!!!!

Re: Help me with curtains....

i like the khaki idea. i would also check out ikea. they sell panels that might be a good idea

and they have some with patterns, which could be interesting (i havent been there in a while, so i dont remember what patterns they have. but if there is something that goes, it could be cool...like a khaki w a blue design?)
