I want to go to Italy on July 27 to August 7 ... Is all of Italy closed the month of Auguest. Please help!!! Thanks

Most of Italy is closed the month of August... it is their month off so most small businesses, etc. etc. things like that will be closed. it depends where you're going in Italy...big places like Rome, the Vatican etc. are hopping all the time...
However, there is aplus to Italy being slower in August... there are a lot of fun festivals, etc. that the smaller towns have going on throughout August.

We went last year on a cruise that left July 17 & we were in/out of Italy (Venice, Rome, Amalfi Coast & Sicily) from then through Aug. 1 and it was slower during that time, but things were still open.

I went to Italy in August and things were not closed. I was in Florence, Rome and Venice and being that these are major cities, things were not shut down. My DH family is from Ischia, Italy (small island off Naples) and it attracts tourists year round. The locals do vacation away from Italy during this time of year though.
