Help! What was your bridal shower favor?

I am planning my best friend's bridal shower in Rochester in Aug. I need some suggestions for favors.

Her wedding is in the fall. I am already looking into making these cute pens that are wrapped up with green florist tape and have a red Gerbera Daisy on top (she is having these in her bouquets) to use during the Bridal Bingo game and then taken home by the guests. Any other ideas???

I think that is a great idea. Do you have a photo of the gerbera pen? It sounds really cute.

My favor was 2 glass heart xmas tree ornaments in an organza bag. My whole shower was love themed so it worked.

Umbrella's. They were wrapped and the ribbon said 'For your next shower' It was very cute. My mom came up with it.

Ohh, both are adorable ideas... I love getting unique xmas ornaments. and the umbrella- now that is original!

my sister was an art major...her and her friend painted flower pots with flowers(also used for centerpieces)...both big and small (everyone got a small one and the big ones were for the games)

she then planted impatience in them...you could find a fall type flower?



for my sisters wedding...I made a 'tree' out of the mesh shower sponges...we (DH, mom and me) made soaps (yes DH helped!!) in different shapes and told the guests to take for their next 'shower'

I also made her the towel cake to 'dry' off

My shower had a hint of a 'garden' decorating theme, and my favors were bird houses.

Mine were teacups with teabags inside. My shower had a tea party theme.

Mine was a candle snuffer with two tapers tied together with organza ribbon and a red rose (my wedding flower)

mine were votive candles inside a holder wrapped in tulle with personalized ribbons. All in lilac - my colors

My favors were an address book from the National Museum of the Arts. They were beautiful.

For my sister's, we gave porcelein 'tea for one' sets. They were a big hit.

LOVE the umbrella idea! That is very orginal. And address books are really cute too. Must put those ideas away for the future.
Mine had mini-cakes given out. I really wanted mini-cakes for the wedding but they are so expensive so my sister and some of my BP got them for the shower as favors instead.

just an idea...last shower I went to the girls made those mason jars with chocolate chip cookie mix in them (you know, how they laver it, with the recipe tied around the top of the jar)...Maybe for a fall theme you could do sugar cookies, or gingerbread. Also along that idea, for summer, cheap margarita glasses filled with margarita mix!

the umbrella is a very cute idea!

My cousin rivals Martha Stewart, so she made the most adorable cookies decorated in a wedding theme (wedding cake, gift, etc) all wrapped up and decorated they looked perfect

my MIL made flower pots and little wheelbarrels painted in my bridal colors with dried flowers in them. They were pretty.

I do like the idea you thought of with the pens. That is a great idea. You can do a n assortment of them, and put them in a flower pot with dried grass.

My girlfriends got together one afternoon and made white chocolate hearts from candy molds. They were shaped like little trinket boxes, which they filled with chocolate candies that were made from wedding item molds (bells, doves, mini bride and groom shapes). Then they wrapped them in organza bags that matched the pale green color I had chosen. I know they put a lot of time into it and it was just adorable

my favors were mason jars filled with either Chili or bean soup mix with black and white material on top...it made it look like cows. I love cows so it was a big hit for me!!

I love the umbrella favor and the address book!! Great ideas!!

I had a fall shower and my girls did different color mums with (sugar I can't think of the name of the stuff ) I guess it is kinda like a potato sack and little mini loaves of pumpkin, corn and apple bread. It was great!

Your idea sounds adorable! people who work in offices (and have coworkers who steal pens) will love that pen! I've seen them before.

My step mom made all of my shower favors. She decopaged little mini flower pots and then included little seed packets and some potpourri in a little sachet with a ribbon that said 'Jennifer's bridal shower'. It was a gardening themed party since I love flowers and gardening.

I always thought Bridal shower Bingo was silly, but people get so into it.

Another thing we did for my friend's bridal shower was to make a trivia game about her. We asked questions like where did they meet, where do they each work, what is the bride's favorite color, where are they going on their honeymoon.
