Hi everyone! I have a cruise ship question
Hope all is well with everyone! We are going on our first cruise(its a family reunion thing, so the ship & destinations are already selected)
My question is do Royal Caribbean small inside rooms have bunk beds?
Has anyone ever stayed in a room with more than two people?
Has anyone ever heard of getting a portable bed on a cruise?
We are planning on getting two rooms because we have 5 people. Myself, Rich, Nicole(she's 9), Brian (16), and my MIL. None of us will sleep on a top bunk.
I'm waiting to hear back for the agent, but I figured I'd ask you guys as well!
Thanks
Elizabeth

Non of the kids will sleep in bunks? Dont they usually love that? I know the rooms could be very tight but they must have some kind of accomodations.

Re: Hi everyone! I have a cruise ship question
Royal Caribbean has a limited number of triples on each ship. They are not bunk beds, just three regular beds (as far I know). I have also seen rollaway cots. The inside rooms are small with a capitol 'S' not sure if you could even fit a cot in there, you are best off getting a triple room.Edited to add: Which cruise are you doing?

Re: Hi everyone! I have a cruise ship question
I dont think RCCL ships have bunk beds. Maybe some of the rooms have them but most if interior rooms have regular beds. What ship are you going on? We went on Voyager in April and it was great. We upgraded to the balcony room which was awesome. Not sure how much extra square footage there was but it felt a lot more spacious.
Hope that helps...let me know if you have any queswtions

Re: Hi everyone! I have a cruise ship question
Its an older crappy ship-Majesty of the seas-my cousin set it up, we have about 110 people going for our family reunion. I'm not to thrilled with the ship or destinations & I've never been on a cruise. We were told that you can have 3 or 4 people in the standard rooms, but it seems so small in the pictures. So far all of the info I have gotten from the travel agent doesn't make me feel confident. I really don't want to 'splurge' for a suite on this trip-I'd rather spend it on something better.I know we'll never be in the rooms anyway, I just want everyone to be able to sleep.

Re: Hi everyone! I have a cruise ship question
I would strongly suggest you not put 4 people in one interior room. Yes, they can fit four beds in there but that means that almost the entire cabin is wall to wall beds. With 2 people, an interior cabin is tight but not much of a hardship. With three, it starts to get much more crowded when sleeping, taking showers, changing, packing, etc... With 4, I think it would make it pretty bad unless you were really comfortable with closed quarters.

Re: Hi everyone! I have a cruise ship question
Welcome back Kelly we've missed you on the boards...I've been on several cruises. Honestly you will have fun on RCCL however the interior rooms are SMALL!!!
If you have 4 ppl in the room you will not like the interior room. With your luggage and stuff it will be way too tight!!!!! If you have more than 3 people I suggest upgrading to our larger room like a suite or even ocean view is a little bit bigger.
Edited to say keep in mind that if you should get sea sick the last thing you want is to feel claustrophobic as well.

I was on RC- Souvereing of the Seas last year. Those rooms are so small!!!! I think 3 in a room will be very tight.
Can you upgrade to a bigger room?

Re: Hi everyone! I have a cruise ship question
Thanks for all of your help ladies.I finally got someone from Royal Caribbean to guarantee us two rooms together, 1 with a queen size bed & one with two twins & a pullman style bed. We'll be ok w/that, we'll have two bathrooms between five people, that will work. I know my son is going to be hanging out in rooms with his cousins sometimes anyway.
This is one of those trips that I'm not too excited about because I didn't plan it, but it will be fun because my whole extended family is going.
