I want to have my dress cleaned and preserved but I dont know were to go. Does anyone know of a place that will clean it and let me see it before they preserve it? I dont want to just send it away and not be able to see how it looks. Thanks

I had my dress cleaned and preserved at a dry cleaner on Main St. in Islip (they may just be Islip Cleaners - it's an old drive-through cleaners' building). Anyway, they let me see the dress and approve the cleaning first (I had a huge grease stain on my dress that they got out completely). It cost about 250.
ETA: My dress is preserved but I can take it out at anytime. The paper it is wrapped in and the box are what preserve it.

I got my dress cleaned and preserved in a box. I got a huge grass stain on the train and the cleaners were able to get it out. They charged me $160 includes cleaning & preserving of the dress. The box was an extra $20 which was included in the price. I got it cleaned on 99-01 63rd Drive in Rego Park right across the street from a Pioneer supermarket. The dry cleaning place there is amazing and the prices are low. You can def ask them how they will have the stains removed. They will also show you the box that the dress will be preserved, it gets sent through a company which delivers back to the cleaners. They also have a seamstress that does an amazing job on the hemming with bridal gowns and dresses.

Most dry cleaners do it. There are also 2 different ways. The more traditional and one where it is super sealed up and that was over 200.
