So we are having people over today that one is a vegetarian and one is a vegan. We are having a bbq with just the hamburgers and hotdogs, and I don't know what else to have for them besides grilled veggies. I make yummy grilled veggies, but I don't want to just make that. Does anyone have any ideas for something I can make that is quick and easy??? ty!

Re: hmm I need help!
Honestly, I would ask them to bring something they like to eat. Usually they don't mind, especially for a Vegan it may be harder to eat things you prepare. If you don't feel comfertable doing that. I would make sure I had salad, and keep the toppings on the side like feta crumbles, dressing, nuts, etc.. Maybe have some veggie burgers in the freezer, most of them can be cooked in the microwave and not have to go on the grill near the meat. Maybe some type of a starch, like a pasta salad, with olive oil, olives, veggies? Or some type of noodles like Thai noodles or rice? Get some fresh fruit. Good luck!!!

Thanks! I was going to make my own fresh guacamole and get tortilla chips since its for a movie party, there really isn't serious eating going on. I have a few mushroom veggie burgers that I can make for them..I just hate having to make veggie burgers whenever someone says 'vegetarian' ya know? But those are good ideas..thank you :)

Agreed on all the ideas. My friend has a food alergy and the other is a vegeterian. They both usually bring or make their own thing. People who eat differently them most people totally understand.

How about portobello mushroom burgers with swiss cheese.
Or how about a side dish of pasta, or buy like macaroni salad, potato salad, or maybe apps like mozzarella sticks, zucchini sticks

I would maybe ask them, because I know many vegans won't eat cheese, eggs, butter etc. Otherwise, I think salad is good if its just a make your own.. I know my brother is a vegetarian and he eats alot of beans, and guacamole, and pasta.
