hmm...was it a sign?

So this afternoon i decided to leave my home office & mope in my bedroom with my dogs because i was so stressed i couldn't concentrate on work (with the DH job thing)....a little voice said 'hey..you should see what's on Oprah' (i haven't watched her in months!)

I turn the TV on and the show is about the power of positive thinking (like The Secret)..and the guest's husband had just lost his job...instead of getting upset they celebrated..he got a newer better job in a few weeks!

So ladies...i took this as a sign to stop focusing on the negative and start realizing how blessed i am..and it will bring us something good...like you've all assured me anyway...anyone else watch? I watched the show again at 7pm to see it from the beginning...it was inspiring.

Didn't see it but I'm glad you got a little bit of a silver lining today. I know how hard this is and I'm hoping the right opportunity comes along really soon. In the meantime your DH is lucky he has such a supportive wife!!!

I'm glad it helped....I hate those days when all you want to do is mope and be sad.......I have The Secret at home, but I have not watched it yet. How is it? Is it worth watching?

these were authors that wrote other books about positive thinking...they were referencing The Secret but i never saw it...i did see What The Bleep which i thought was interesting...and a similar idea

ahhhhh the power of 'O' j/k!!!! Oprah definitely features a lot of inspirational stories, but how ironic to watch it on a day like today when you need that little push to feel like things happen for a reason and positive things will come your way (& your DH's!). I'm sending you guys good job vibes for 08!!

I watched it today too. Since my accident in June I have started 'thinking positively' and I have to say that DH and I have had some incredible things happen to us. I actually use it for simple everyday things, like something is misplaced and I 'envision' finding it and I ALWAYS do within 1-2 minutes!!! It's AMAZING what you can do with just thinking positively. It has helped my overall stress and anxiety level in day to day acitivities.

Even if you don't fully believe in the law of attraction, just think how much better you feel if you focus on all the positive in your life and if you are aware and grateful for what you have and not what you lack!

So glad you found inspiration!!!!!!

Things will work out, you are a great person and good things will happen for you and DH!!

Everything will fall into place and work.

i didnt see it but thinsg will work out. i like inspirational music. taryn keeps my ipod stocked i feel better after listening to certain songs-just a reminder life is hard but without that we would not appreciate the good parts. its gonna be ok
