Ok, we both said we wanted to wait until we get a place of our own (which I'm sticking to!!). That should happen in March/April. Well ever since I went to the hospital for Dave's surgery (testicular cyst removal, so impossible for baby now ) and saw all the new babies being born, how happy, my friends pregnancy, baby showers, I'm suddenly finding myself wanting to get preggos soon. I plan on getting preggos beginning of 2008, but not sure if I can wait that long. I really really want to wait. I'm still young (26). Anyone else feel like this? Kerry

Re: HOLY BABY FEVER
We have talked about it a lot lately and both have decided that we will likely start actively trying early spring or so. I want to be at least in contract with buying a house first before we start. I really want to be settled and not have to move or do anything when I am pregnant, just my preference. We will be going to open houses this weekend so I guess the ball is rolling. Plus I just started prenatals!!!

Yup we both want it too. But we have decided that a house is our priority right now. We will start trying October of next year.

Re: HOLY BABY FEVER
This is our new baby....we want to wait a few years, so he'll keep us busy for now!
i sooo have baby fever now!! i know DH wants kids too but he's more practical than i am. when i want something, i want it now, and he thinks rationally. we are talking about starting to try next feb/march... so that with when i'd be due, i'd be on maternity leave through the holidays and in jan of 2009 we'd both be getting pretty significant pay raises. plus, we're in a 2 bedroom co-op right now, and DH wants to wait until we have a bigger place. when i think practically, everything makes sense... but waiting more than a year just to start trying... i'm dyin', lol

Re: HOLY BABY FEVER
I go back and forth. Right now I am back to wanting to wait until probably the summer. DH would happily start TTC right now, but I want to feel more stable financially and enjoy being a couple for a little longer. I am really looking foward to TTC, but right now I will just live vicariously through others

We always said we would be married a year first too BUT then the baby envy started....We realized we are ready now and not getting any younger! We can't wait to be parents...DH is so cute, he mentions it all the time now.

Re: HOLY BABY FEVER
I feel so blessed that me and DH are expecting our first baby (girl) in 4 months......we know it is a HUGE step but I cannot wait...good luck to all those TTC and also to the girls who are waiting. I am no spring chicken, we got married, bought a house and a baby was the natural next step for us.

Re: HOLY BABY FEVER
dh wants one bad, ive been kinda holding off so that we save a little more and enjoy the freedom to leave the house whenever we want without the extra resposibilities. we got married when i was 22(dh 25) now it two years later and we just finished getting settled into the house we upgraded to, so im just about ready.
Every time I see baby items for sale(like babies r us) i start feeling baby fever

Re: HOLY BABY FEVER
I 100% agree that both people have to be on the same page. DH was ready a few months before I was and when we started TTC before the wedding, we thought it would take a while. Guess I was wrong! We are both in our early 30's, own a home, and are pretty financially secure so I think that helped me get to a point where I said 'Let's do this!', with confidence. I'm so happy we did because now we're expecting our first baby in June 2007 and are both so into every little detail of my pregnancy. DH is so cute when he talks about the baby! I know he'll be an amazing father and I'm happy we were both on board with this idea, so to speak. Something will just click and, even if you have some anxiety, it will be HAPPY anxiety.
ETA: There is nothing wrong with waiting. Don't let anyone pressure you into having a baby because it is life changing and you should be as ready as you can be mentally and emotionally.

DITTO here!!!!!!!
I know just being married for 44 days is not a long time however when you have been with someone for 11 years, that clock seems to tick out of control. I just got my dream job and start on Dec4th and I know I need to wait until I am setteled in there for a few months but damn it hahaha that feeling wont go away.!!!!!!!!!!!
