HOLY BABY FEVER

Ok, we both said we wanted to wait until we get a place of our own (which I'm sticking to!!). That should happen in March/April. Well ever since I went to the hospital for Dave's surgery (testicular cyst removal, so impossible for baby now ) and saw all the new babies being born, how happy, my friends pregnancy, baby showers, I'm suddenly finding myself wanting to get preggos soon. I plan on getting preggos beginning of 2008, but not sure if I can wait that long. I really really want to wait. I'm still young (26). Anyone else feel like this?

Yes I know exactly how you feel!!
We first said we were going to wait a year and start trying summer 2007, but I think we both have baby fever now! We are in the process of looking for a house too, so we will wait until we are settled and then see how we feel. It might wind up being on our time frame anyway, but every time I see a baby I get that feeling and I have heard DH say more and more 'I want one.' recently.

you know what ....i did not think about babies but when i got married i have a baby fever.....

i check out lif more then liw now.....i know a lot by now but my dh does not want to have kids yet.....ughhh ..i don't know what to do?? how to convince him?? my moh got married 2 weeks after us and she is pregoooo she is now 5 months!!!!.......and a big belly and i am jelous!!!

I don't think there is anyway to 'convince' him, I think he just has to feel it. DH never seemed into it but all of a sudden I guess something just 'clicked'

YES!!! My DH & I are going to start TTC in July. We already have our house & we just feel this is the next step. I am still young (27) but do want to start a family soon. DH & I both agreed that we will wait until we are married 1 year & if all goes well, our first would be born around our 2 yr anniversary!!!!

Its weird with guys, you know they don't want to grow up. I never really heard DH say anything about wanting kids until we went to his nephew's soccer game and all of a sudden he says to me 'I want one.'

It's funny, DH and I just went shopping for a friend's baby shower and we both felt totally suffocated at the store and how NOT ready we are for a baby!

BUT I wish you guys all good TTC vibes!!

We are TTC now and I would have to say that two people absolutely have to be on the same page with this. If one is ready and the other is not then the couple is not ready whether it be financially, emotionally or even socially (being willing to give up the time it takes to raise a child). JMO. I waited til DH said 'OK lets go' and I am glad I did.

I agree. Luckily me & DH are in agreement for 2008 it just seems so far away. Maybe once we get a place of our own I'll feel different (ie will have another project like fixing the place up to settle my baby fever)

I like kids but I definitly do not want one anytime soon. I want to get into my nursing career first.

I am totally with you on baby fever. Also, I feel like I'm not getting any younger. We are in the process of moving so right now is definitely not a good time. DH is still not ready (he's younger). But, we have been talking about TTC next year (Spring). We will see what happens!
I can't wait to be a mommy!!

I have an acute case of baby fever. Seeing all the mommies to be and all the cute lil baby pics and hearing about how everyone is doing makes me want to join in!!!!!

But we agreed to wait for about a year. We're doing the house thing first and once we're settled in then we're going to start trying. I'm excited tho just to have a plan of action!!!!!!

DH and I both agreed to wait until we have a home and the financial backing to raise a child. Since we're hous hunting now and hoping to buy by March '07 - I see us waiting until 2008/2009 to start the next addition to our family.

In the mean time, we're researching into buying a dog to 'test' ourselves.

We both have baby fever, but agreed to wait until next fall to start trying, since financially we're not ready, but should be in a much better position next year.

Yet yesterday my mother tells me ' You're going to have a baby next year, your biological clock is ticking, you know!'

My DH wants to have a baby badly! We are young, I'm 24 and he is 26...we just bought our first house together and I'm trying to get my Masters...I told him to wait at least a year...I really want to get settled...which he understands. If there is an act of God and the BC doesn't work and we get preggo we will be happy...but i truely am not ready to give up my nights, days and weekeds! (I'm sorry if I sound selfish)
