Holy cow! Some unexpected sort of good news...

So i took the Suffolk County Police test the day after my wedding (uggh)...i got an 85 on it & didn't make their list (they started at 87.5)...so today i get home and there's a letter DH had to sign for from the PD of Suffolk County...

Well i open it up and it says 'Dear Police Officer Candidate'...i almost fell over! I am apparently eligible for Town of Southampton, which was the position i actually wanted...i have some kind of orientation in early March...and many more steps before anything may happen (i could still get cut if i don't pass physical, psych, lie detector)..but i thought i was out of the cut..woohoo.

Yeah..it was never my 'dream job'...but something i've always been interested in...and figure i need to at least see if i can make it. I'd love to be able to tie in my love for Graphic Design with it somehow...hmmm

Thats great! I will talk to FIL, he can give me the scoop on the physical, etc and I will let you know. It maynot be the same test b/c he was NCPD but you never know!

For the graphic design I know they do a SCPD newsletter-you could always see if you could do anyting with that.

oh and oyu probalby need an in but you can help design the PBA, FOP, and SO cards!!! Even the decals

Thanks!! I believe the physical test is the same as the Suffolk County requirements...which honestly were nothing compared to what i had to do for my Black Belt test...which was alot more intense...but i need to start running again....and stop stuffing my face!
