Well, this past weekend, we finally started the process of cleaning and preparing our house for us to move in soon. We are hoping to be in by the end of February. It is so much work, but it is so exciting!! I am very relieved to have the closing process behind us - all the waiting on lawyers and title search was ridiculous. It took us almost 3 months to close...of course, some of that was b/c of the holidays. Thank goodness our mortgage company was super efficient - even our attorney was impressed by how quick they were with everything!
Here's a pic (from the real estate listing) of our new home. We'll be cutting the trees in front of the living room windows this coming weekend!

Congratulations! It looks like a great home and a beautiful, serene yard. I'm sure you'll have many wonderful years in it. Enjoy this time and I'll be thinking of you as you tear down the shrubs! I was out in the yard with a hacksaw the 2nd day we had our house - there was crap growing everywhere! Good luck and God bless!

JennRenee - our attorney, whom also lives in St. James, said the same thing at the end of our closing! LOL! Can't wait to be there everyday!

Thats funny I just sent you a FM.
We are still in the midsts of contractor dust but I have the den, kitchen and basement set up. The contractors come back tomorrow for one final full day and then thats it for a while. I was going to have the floors done now too but I might wait a little.
