Honeymoon help! Barcelona / Mediterranean Cruise

Hi Newlyweds! :)

Any suggestions for places to stay in Barcelona? Or places to avoid? Which neighborhoods should we be considering? or eliminating?

We will be staying in Barcelona for two nights before our cruise leaves the port.

We stayed at Hotel Catalonia Ramblas near Plaza Catalunya in May. It's right off Las Ramblas. It's near a lot plus transportation. They have tons of tour buses in the plaza that you can hop on and off. It's really ideally situated. Plus, it's near Passieg de Gracias which is like the 5th avenue of Barcelona.

I don't know if you booked your cruise yet or not.. but we did almost the same thing as you.. and we did not like the cruise AT ALL!!!!! It was too much, and way too tiring and the cruise ******. According to everyone we speak to.. Cruises like that are only meant to take you from point A to point B.. they're not meant for luxury. Just something to think about.
