Honeymoon ladies...need help

Ok, DH and I did not do our real HM after the wedding. We are trying to figure out where we want to go and are having trouble.

Where did you ladies go?
Where did you stay?

and how much (if you dont mind posting) did you spend total when it was all done?

Thanks!!!!

Re: Honeymoon ladies...need help

We went to Atlantis in the Bahamas and had a BLAST!! Never left the resort for 10 days!! With our airline tickets and the foodplan it cost us $6300 and then we spent another $1500 while we were there. But that inlcluded ordering internet to our room everyday, ordering some movies , some excursions.

EDIT- it can be cheaper depending upon which of the towers you stay in

Re: Honeymoon ladies...need help

we couldnt do a honeymoon right after either and becasue dh is here on a business visa, he was iffy about traveling outside of the states, so we just went to key west ( came back last week) and spent about $3000 for 4 nights (we stayed at the Hyatt cuz we had to splurge just a little...) that's with hotel, airfare, food, all that junk...

but, i heard st. thomas and st. lucia were really nice

Excellence Punta Cana

All in for airfare, transfers, all inclusive for 6 nights 7 days- $3300. We spent another $600 on the spa and gifts to bring home. We upgraded to the 'Excellence Club' which gives you perks like free internet, for a minimal amount of money, and we found it well worth it.

Charged it all on my JetBlue amex and got mega miles out of it, so now we have free flights to where ever

7 day RCCL to SO Carribean and 5 days in Occidental Grand Aruba, upgraded to Royal Club. Aruba was all inclusive and the cruise all you had to pay for was drinks. With airfare I think it came out to $6000. We used Irene in the Commack Liberty Travel, she was very helpful and got us a better deal than what we found online.

Same here. We spent $3400 for the trip and then only spent about another $200 there in tips and souvenirs. LOVED everything about the resort!

We went to French Polynesia - Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora. We really loved it and I would recommend it for a relaxing honeymoon mixed in with activity days. A good rule of thumb for pricing out a FP trip is $1000 per day - so a 7 day HM about $7K, 10 days would be about $10K, etc. You could definitely go for less, just depends on which hotels and also which room categories (garden room is less expensive than overwater bungalows, for example).

when are you going? If it's april or later, I highly recommend greece!!!!

I booked everything on tripadvisor.com and travelocity... We spent about 5k for 10 days in athens, chania & iraklion in crete, and santorini

the most amazing trip..... a gorgeous country with great food and friendly people
