Honeymoon pics?

Original post by Mrs. V 2008

What are you doing with the pics? Making an album, scrap book? I'm thinking of making a scrap book but it takes forever. What are you all doing?

I'm having my photographer print an album for us that matches my wedding album. It's going to cost me $280 for the print. Pics of layout in my album.

I am so not a scrapbooker. Not a creative bone in my body! The pics will be going in a regular album.

DH printed some of the best ones and made an album with them. I think I will make a book on Shutterfly eventually.

I made a really nice album from snapfish. I even took images from the web of some of the places we stayed b/c I missed some of it. It made a great story. I didn't use all my images but most. I don't think it would be nesscary to do as long as you get the best shots telling your HM story to reflect back on.

Snapfish seems to have the best background IMO and it is user friendly.

i want to see a snapfish album - is there a link?

and yes we should DEF do a scrapbooking thread - i never made one - i have to make one for the wedding that will include our e-party, epics, shower and wedding and then a seperate one for the honeymooon that is what will keep me from getting depressed about the wedding being over

Maybe if you wanted just to do something special, do a smaller scrap book, maybe just even one that has 2 pages. This way you can have a cute little highlighted book, and the other pictures can go in the regular photo books for further viewing.

I took 2 cameras with me on the HM and I had over 700 pictures. I am going to have to deff just stuff them in an album and not worry about doing something fancy lol

Re: Honeymoon pics?

We used a large poster-size frame for our seating assignments at our wedding, and I wanted to reuse the frame for something--never really was sure what though.
Before we left for the HM I came up with the idea to make a huge scrapbook page in that frame and hang it in our house. We went on a two week long cruise, so I bought postcards from all the islands we stopped at, saved room keys, paper bracelets, confetti from the ship, things of that nature. When we got home I went to the scrapbook store and bought cruise and honeymoon themed items and paper to go in the frame as well. I love love love the way it turned out and have gotten lots of compliments from people who have seen it. You don't get to use too many pictures but I thought it was a unique idea and a nice keepsake.

Here's a pic of the finished product:

We took all the pictures ourselves. If you look in my review the pics are bigger because I used photobucket. When I was looking around I came across a few websites that offer this service but they are a little more money. I will post them for you once I get outta work. I think my photographer gave me a discount since we used them for the wedding. Also, the album design is an additional fee. I'm not sure how much that costs because I did my own layout in photoshop.
