Honeymoon pics?

Original post by Mrs. V 2008

What are you doing with the pics? Making an album, scrap book? I'm thinking of making a scrap book but it takes forever. What are you all doing?

Re: Honeymoon pics?

I put most of them in an album from BBB and we had about 400+ pictures. The rest are in a photo box until I make my scrapbook album, which I bought everything for months before the actual HM and still have not put it together!

I'm having my photographer print an album for us that matches my wedding album. It's going to cost me $280 for the print. Pics of layout in my album.

I just looked at it..IT friggen looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and thats not a bad price either!!! what a great idea! Did you take those pics yourself? or did someone take them for you? there are some really great shots! Do you know if any photographer would do that?

We took all the pictures ourselves. If you look in my review the pics are bigger because I used photobucket. When I was looking around I came across a few websites that offer this service but they are a little more money. I will post them for you once I get outta work. I think my photographer gave me a discount since we used them for the wedding. Also, the album design is an additional fee. I'm not sure how much that costs because I did my own layout in photoshop.

ok! Thanks so much!!!!!!!!

These are the websites. The Kingston Flush Mount is what my photographer is printing for me with acrylic cover.

Re: Honeymoon pics?

I used picaboo.com to make a photo book. it was more expensive than a scrap book, but I love how it came out, and now we'll have it forever to remember our HM

We used a large poster-size frame for our seating assignments at our wedding, and I wanted to reuse the frame for something--never really was sure what though.
Before we left for the HM I came up with the idea to make a huge scrapbook page in that frame and hang it in our house. We went on a two week long cruise, so I bought postcards from all the islands we stopped at, saved room keys, paper bracelets, confetti from the ship, things of that nature. When we got home I went to the scrapbook store and bought cruise and honeymoon themed items and paper to go in the frame as well. I love love love the way it turned out and have gotten lots of compliments from people who have seen it. You don't get to use too many pictures but I thought it was a unique idea and a nice keepsake.

Here's a pic of the finished product:

wow!!!!!!!!!!!!! That looks awesome!!!!!!!!! what a awesome idea!! very unique! I never see that!!!

that is a really cute idea! i LOVE it.....i might try doing that instead - it would be really cute to make one for the wedding and one for the honeymoon and then hang it in the office or something (when i HAVE an office )

Also - I wanted to add that scrapbooking is MUCH more expensive than snapfish books! I am making a 'running/marathon' scrapbook and only made like 3 pages so far and I spent like $35 on the book and all the pages and little stickers, letters, etc. It takes forever too but they do come out pretty, but just really pricey if you ask me!
