house hunting

for those of you who just bought or went into contract or are even just looking -- how do you DEAL with the stress of this? The prices are just OUTrageous!! How are we going to afford anything NICE?????

The stress can be unbearable when house hunting, but eventually something comes along. The stress of hunting is nothing compared to the stress of going to contract then closing. Good luck and trust that something will come along!

Yep, it's definitely stressful. I would get stressed all the time and then disappointed alot. But I started trying to let go of the FEAR: the fear of not getting there first, fear of not seeing a place we loved, fear of not getting a price we could afford, etc. ....and was prepared to walk away if need be, it felt so much more peaceful. And ironically, it was not too much later we found the house we are closing on.
