how bad would it be....

to wear white linen pants while in greenville, sc this weekend? not much fits right now, but for some odd reason these pants do.

thoughts?

I agree with Jane-white pants are a go. If you're still hesitating, just think about how you'll never see 99.9% of these people again so who cares what they think!

i say GO FOR IT!! I'm a rebel at heart & in no way agree with those 'no white after labor day' rules. I wear white skirts and dresses whenever I want. I don't own any white pants, but if I did I'd wear 'em also! And I don't recall getting any odd looks ever (just mere jealousy from those who don't feel as confident to wear pretty things like I do. lol).

dude, its south carolina..the SOUTH. They don't have the same fashion criteria as us so even if it were a faux pa (or however u spell that) big whoop de doo, they wont know or care.

i agree, its the south, its been warm there already for awhile - they probably dont follow the 'white' rules like we do up north anyway.....when i live in florida i imagine wearing white clothes and sandals even if its before labor day - if its hot enough to go swimming i should be allowed to wear white

I think its ok, normally i am big on the no white BUT it will be very warm this weekend (so that throws the rule away). If you can wear flip flops, you can wear white.

I work in the same office building at the Jcrew corporate offices and I see those girls who work there wearing white pants and I think to myself 'that looks cute!'

I was in Florida this past weekend- and I saw lots of people wearing white pants, shoes, whatever

like a pp said, they dont have the same fashion rules- they are more laid back!
