With stress as the day got closer? I thought I was on top of things, especially dealing with LD planning...but I am starting to think that maybe I am not as prepared as I thought I was. Tips for the last weeks are GREATLY appreciated!

Re: How did each of you deal
Relax...things will get done. I had my sister help me with a lot of things. Can you ask someone to help out with things???
There were some things I freaked out over, but its ok, because it is normal. You are getting married. Just do things little at a time, and take some time for YOURSELF!!!!!
The morning of my wedding I took a walk and walked up 4 blocks and bought myslef a nice cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee, and that time by myself was the great!!!!

Re: How did each of you deal
In the last few days, I stopped caring to some extent. I felt like everything I could do was done and the things left would either get done (if I got around to them) or not. I made sure I got my mani/pedi, slept late and just enjoyed the last few days. In fact, I was so not freaked that I barely felt like I was getting married that day...it didnt hit me until it was almost over.

As Stef stated, I got asort of a don't care attitude, but then again I was so ahead of schedule with everything that there was no stress. I went to the spa with my girls, there were no last minutes running around etc. My list kept me sane. It will be ok, fret not. You cannot worry about what ifs. Friday before the wedding, and the morning of I was expecting this grand feeling to come over me, what a let down, no special I am getting married feeling Enjoy your day to the fullest and don't let anyone or anything spoil it for you

I would agree with Stef and Shamma - there is only so much worrying you can (and should) do. After awhile, you have to trust in your vendors and your hard work. During the last few days I actually slept better than I had during the year of planning.

Re: How did each of you deal
My cousin had bought me a spa gift certificate for my shower and I used it towards a massage the day before the wedding......it did wonders.
I was so relaxed that I couldn't even think about being nervous.

Re: How did each of you deal
I vented to Stef ALL the time, stopped asking for people's opinions, asked for help when I needed it, made sure I took time for Scott and I to just see a movie, screened my calls and HIRED a day-of coordinator to worry for me :D
I really did all the last min things two days before and I had a huge list and then on that Friday when my family was in I just went to poick up my dress and just relaxed ...
Don't stress about it...

Re: How did each of you deal
I honestly made a million lists. I was like list central. I don’t even know what was on them, but it felt so good to cross stuff off. If you are only a few days away, basically what’s done is done – and what isn’t done isn’t going to get done! So let it go! Enjoy being 'days away from getting married!'. Rest, have a glass of wine, listen to your favorite music. Let it all go!

Re: How did each of you deal
my experience was a lot like Stef's - I had everything done, and that was all I could do. Little things didn't faze me anymore, I stopped worrying about the details - even the day of.
All day people kept saying it hasn't hit you yet - You're getting married! I knew that, but I was so calm and relaxed. I don't know when it finally 'hit'.

I felt like whatever I could get done I would and whatever didnt, wouldnt. The day of my rehersal dinner I disappeared by myself to the beach and it was great to just relax.
