How did u pick pictures for an album

I am so confused. I have a lot of pictures to choose from - and I didn't even like my pictures that much!!!! I narrowed it down to 127....and I can only choose 70. How did you all pick them?

I have the same problem. I guess I'm going to see what pictures (out of the good ones) the Husband likes, then ask my mom & MOH.
It's easier when other poeple decide for you.
I'm also going to make a really nice little album of all the proofs I really like so it's like having 2.
I don't know when i plan on doing these things but hopefully I'll get around to it

we made piles of yes, no and maybe. then from the yes and maybe pile, we slowly got it down. its not easy. good luck with it

I basically sorted my fave pics by different moments of the day (getting ready, walking down the aisle, vows, formal shots, first dance etc) then eliminated shots that were somewhat similar to each other. Having an objective opinion helps too, so try to get someone to help you besides DH! My sister really made it easy for me. HTH! Good luck!

well, we got to choose 50 for our album. We chose 5 from each major part of the wedding and give and take for a few.....it broke down like this:

5 from getting ready.
5 portraits
2 from Bedeken/ketubah
15 from ceremony
1 entering the reception
5 of the hora
2 parent dances
13 reception/dancing
2 cake cutting

That is how we did it........good luck.

I was having a hard time too but then when I asked DH to pick some he told me I was doing it wrong and instead of picking ones I like and trying to narrow it down more and more, we need to start with the MUST HAVES... so we went through and found the pics that we absolutely want in the album and ended up with like 75 out of 80... the last 5 we just picked ones we really liked but weren't a must have... it was a lot easier than I thoguht it would be!

LOL Was easier for us I guess because we made it ourselves so we could put in as many pages as we wanted and still would be only a fraction of what it would have cost us through a photographer.

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, we didn't have many FAVORITE photos of dh and I so we pretty much threw in all the ones we had because there were so few to start with. i think our album is like 70 pages lol. -shrugs-

I think what most people do is pick a few of each part of the day; a handful of you getting ready, a handful of him getting ready, the details, the ceremony, etc.

I was REALLY hard. I just took out all the ones I wanted, and just kept narrowing it down.

i picked so many that i'm upgrading my album to a magazine style. the regular album, i could only pic 50. that was impossible with over 1300 proofs!

I had the same problem.

I broke all my pictures down into parts...getting ready, before church, church, OWG and then reception. Pull out th eimportant ones.

For example:cake cutting, entrance, parent dances...those are definite ins (at least for us) and then slowly pulled out.

We also decided that pictures we made enlargements we did NOT put in the album
Good Luck
