How did you and DH met?

We don't have an exciting story...

We met at work--I desperately needed a job since I was a poor college student and I took one at a Genovese. He was a stock boy who acted like a manager and I was a photo tech. he wouldn't talk to and the rest is history....

i was living SC at the time and came up on a random whim for vacay up to visit my family NY. (seriously i think i bought my ticket the day b4 i left) so my bro, my sis and i all decided to go to a club the day after valentine's day. at the time my bro was working at macys with my DH. he told him he should come out and hang. he wasn't trying to set us up AT ALL...he just wanted a bigger crowd.

my bro told me his friend came alone--and i should be nice and talk to him until others arrive. in my biitchyness i was like 'i'm not babysitting your friend!' and then he introduced us--and it was a done deal. my DH asked if he could buy my sister and i a drink, and then my sis said 'i like him for you!' and she kept my brother away from us so we could talk. we hit it off that nite--and went out everyday i was up in ny that week. 3 months later i moved back to ny -- and we've been together ever since

Our story is very 21st century:
We met on jdate. I was just browsing and trying my luck. I didn't even have a paid account. When I found DH I sent him a tease and he instantly responded. We talked for couple of hours online and then he asked me for my numer. After that we kept on talking on the phone for hours for the next 2 weeks. Then he said that he wants to meet me and won't take no for an answer. I had my grandparents visiting from Israel at the time, so I wanted them to live first and then meet him, but he would not take a no for an answer, so the day before they left he drove over from Brooklyn (I used to live in NJ at that time) and we spent a whole day together. It was amazing. We clicked right away. He even met my grandpa before he died.

Funny thing is that my grandpa memorized his license plates just in case

we met online also. We talked online for a few weeks then finally met in person. We hit off so well that we were actually living together within about 2 weeks. Yes I am dirty!! LOL

We met in college. We took an Education class together and he was the cutest guy in class. (there were only 2 men in the class hahahah). He teased me for the whole semester but I somehow fell for him anyway!

I guess that it was destiny for DH & I to meet, especially since I am a Brooklyn girl and he is from the Island. He was listening to music as he was driving home from school and he somehow ended up on the BQE. He got off at the Tillary St. exit because it was the first place that he saw he could get off. He wanted a cup of coffee, so ended up at Starbucks on Court & Jorolemon (SP??). He got his coffee and sat a table by the window. I volunteer at a high school on Bridge & Willoughby Streets a couple of blocks away. It was after school and the kids were driving me crazy, so I told them that I was going for coffee next door. They said I couldn't because the store failed its health inspection. I said ok, I am leaving at 3:30 and I am going to Starbucks. I walked over and it was packed. I got my coffee and saw that there was 1 seat left and it was at a table with a really cute guy (DH). So, I walked over and asked him if I could sit down. He said yes and we started talking. We must have talked for hours and he asked me if I wanted to get something to eat. I said yes and we have been together ever since.

I met my DH skydiving.

I had a wondeful boyfriend of two years who wanted me to go skydiving with him. So we went for our 1st tandem and we loved it. My ex and I decided to go back to SDLI to earn our skydiving license so we could jump on our own. We were taking the class together, when I saw Brian (My DH) walk by. He just got out of his 85 Mustang, cigarette in mouth, skydiving jumpsuit tied around his waist, tattoos showing, and bandana on his head! HE LOOKED SO HOT!!! A real bad boy! Right then and there I knew I had to have him! Pure physical attraction!! We started flirting and one thing lead to another, and within two weeks we were in the backseat of his mustang (our 2nd time hanging out alone). I immediately broke up with my boyfriend of the time and we've been together ever since!! That was over 6 years ago!

We met through Christiancafe.com. My mom and now step dad met that way and I was just looking to talk to other Christians my age which was a void in my life at that time (DH's roomate put him on CC for the 7 day trial, was encouraging him to meet other Christians), and we talked back and forth for a long time, really enjoyed talking but never planned on it going anywhere (he was in Alaska and I was in PA). We were just friends who shared a great connection. I actually stopped talking to him for a while to try to reconcile with my ex fiance, and decided God was definitely calling me in another direction (thankfully). I contacted him again and after a while (almost a year) we started geting closer and closer. We just prayed on it and we ended up meeting in person. We fell in love and things went from there. Thats the short story!

Ours was destiny too.. I will try and make it as sort as possible.. Our lives kept intersecting..

When I was 8, we moved into a 2 family house in Lynbrook.. Upstairs my mom had a tenant.. it was DH's Aunt..

Years later my sister moved into a 2 family house and upstairs lived DH and his family..

THEN, in high school, DH transferred over and dated another girl in my grade..

Years later when I was cocktail waitressing, DH used to come to the clubs I was working with his friends to hang out and I always said hi but nothing more than that bc my head was too far up my own @ss at the time..

Finally, I was working at Sahara on 110 and he came in one night and we were joking and hanging out and dancing, all while I was working.. It was cool.. he even gave me his wrist band to wear bc it matched my outfit.. I turned to check on a table and when I got back, he was cornered by some other girl.. so I was like whatever.. and left, didn't say bye, nothing.. just thought he was another jerkoff in the club..

Well, he came back the following week told me he was waiting for me to come over the past week and break up his convo with that girl and I just laughed in his face.. I told him what he needed to do was take me out.. and that was a friday.. He came over on a Sunday and we watched 'Finding Nemo' bc I was too sick with a cold to go out.. and the rest is history!!!!

we met through a mutual friend in college. she was my roommate and bff and they took organic chemistry together. it was too hard to do the hw alone, so DH started coming over to our apt to work on hw and we pretty much immediately hit it off and have been practically inseperable ever since.
