Through mutual friends. I was dating my friend's older brother and my DH and her DH work together and when I broke up with my ex they tried getting us together. We went to a party at my friend's place and we decided to flirt with eachother, so this one girl would leave him alone and when she never showed up we started talking and the attraction was there and we started dating. That was over 5 years ago.

I found my DH in the woods

There is game called geocaching, people hide a notebook and some trinkets in the woods and then post the coordinates online for others to go find them. At the time there was a series of encryted caches in our area and seeing as neither of us was good at figuring out the encryption we were both seeking the travel bug that had the answers on it. I went out with an ex and we beat DH to it by about a half hour.

He posted on the message board that he had carried his son through prickers to get to the cache only to find that we had beaten him to it.

My ex and I felt bad for him and agreed to pass the clues on to him the next day, we met up in the woods and did a cache together. His son hung out with my Ex while DH and I got to know each other There was an instant attraction and the rest is history

I'll make a short story long



My best friend's brother from Virginia came up and had a christening party for his daughter. My best friend was surprised to learn that my DH, her brother's best friend, was still single. So she started talking to DH other best friend's wife that they should find him a nice Italian girl. Through their conversation, my name popped up. My best friend called me that night, but I went to a club.

She called me again and had me talk to her mother-in-law and her daughters, who told me how cute he was. I took his email and tried it out.

After two weeks of talking about our families in Brooklyn, making tomato sauce and homemade wine, we decided to meet at a club. I was waiting outside of the club and it was slow motion- that song 'Take my breath away' would have been a good for that moment- as he walked toward me. And bam...

We've been married a year!

My best friend was dating dh's roomate (they got married 5 yrs ago)and the roomate and my friend came down to spend the day with me at the beach (I live in Rockaway) and they invited dh to come too. It wasnt a set up, we just hit it off, all 4 of us went out to the bar that night and my friends left at about 2, dh and I closed the bar then wandered around Rockaway till the wee hours (another whole story in and of itself) we had so much fun, and he ended up sleeping over at my apt. yes, just sleeping people!! that was 6 years ago

we met at Dublin Pub 7 years ago on a Friday the 13th (In October no less! lol).....we both just got out of relationships right before that, and we really weren't looking for anyone special just yet.....so anyway, we were both completely drunk that night and just having fun, we're standing there bs'ing and he asks me what I do for work......so I told him I do accounting for an electrical company.....and he goes, 'oh I'm an electrician, where do you work?' so I said Amtech Lighting.....and he says 'that's where I work!!'.....so now I'm thinking he got some info from my friends that were there and he was trying to be funny or something.....but no.....we really did work for the same company!! the guys that worked 'in the field' didn't come into the office, so I never saw him!! too funny!! 7 years later and now we're married!

We actually went to high school together and graduated together but never said one word to each other. A mutual friend of ours introduced us to each other when we were 18 years old (right after HS ended) and we started dating later that year, broke up and dated other people and when me and my ex were on a break me and DH saw each other and started hanging out again and that was 7 years ago. At the age of 18 I knew that DH was the one for me but we had to go our separate ways for him to figure it out. We are now 33 years old and finally married.

I LOVED Dublin back in the days of the Scallywag!!! I wish I was 20 again and going there every weekend! I seriously wanted to have 'The Touch' as our wedding band.....but DH vetoed it b/c he wanted a DJ. Or what about The Zoo? OMG they were all so good!! the runner up was the Crazy Moose and now that's Lucky's why does everything have to change? (sniffle sniffle)

I was taking German in high school and wanted someone to practise it with so I went to a German chatroom and DH is the first person I started talking to (talked ont he phone occasionally too)... that was when I was 16...then I came to Germany when I was 18 to go to college here and then DH and I decided to meet in person and 7 yrs later we got married
