Are you talking about the top part of the cake or the cake topper?
If it's the top layer of the cake it's in DH's parents fridge.
If it's the cake topper (which I think you mean) we have it displayed in the china closet since it had a bottom on it.

First, I put mine in the freezer so the icing got hard and wouldn't stick to anything. Then I completely wrapped it in plastic wrap, then aluminum foil. The main objective is to get it airtight. Then i put it into a giant Tupperware container and stuck it in the freezer.

This is what we did also!! Instead of the tupperware we put it in a freezer bag!!

They gave it to us in a regular bakery box, while we were on our HM my mom took it out and put it in tupperware in the freezer. When we got home I took the tupperware, wrapped it in tin foil and plastic wrap and then tied a plastic bag around it to make sure it wouldn't get freezer burn. Stored it in the freezer all year and about 2 days before our anniversary it went in the fridge to defrost. It tasted great and I enjoyed finishing it off!!

We had put or cake in the Freezer, so that it was frozen, then we took the cake out and then we put it in one of the Food Saver bags and vacuumed the air out the we put it back into the frrezer and....1 year later it was still so moist and fresh tasting!
