I am not pregnant, but we will start trying soon, and it got me thinking when it happens how to tell DH in a sweet and / or creative way.
How did you ladies do it??

Aww, good luck to you!!
I would ask him if he has any plans for April (figure 9 months). Most likely he'll say 'no, why?' and then you can say why!!

DH is notorious for not noticing anything about me-like when I cut my hair, get highlights etc. We joke about it all the time. Sooooo, I might wait an see if he notices my weight gain. I'd be heavy handed about it and constantly make references about how I'm putting on a lot of weight, I don't fit into my jeans, etc and see if he says anything. But I don't know if I could hold out that long....

I might go get a sonagram with my mother or sister and give him a card at Dinner (maybe just the two of us or in front of our whole family)....when he opens the card, he'll see the sonogram pic.....I am sure he will just flip with excitment....must make sure I have my video camera handy!!!

well this is how mine went...this past Sunday I took a test and saw 2 lines (positive result). I woke DH up (this was at 7am after having a BBQ the night before and staying up late) and said 'do you see 2 lines, do you see 2 lines?'
He was half asleep and said 'yes, what does that mean?' I said 'we're pregnant'
He said 'oh that's awesome' and went back to sleep
I told him later that that was not the reaction I was expecting and he said 'I'm sorry, I was half asleep, I did not even know what you were talking about'
He has been waiting on me hand and foot since then so he has made up it

im not sure i would be able to hold out that long... i would want him with me as i was peeing on the stick (well not as i was actually peeing, but when i was looking at it afterwards)
but i would want to tell the grandparents in a fun way...

Well I wanted to wait and do something special but I was just too excited! So when he showed up at home I was out front taking pictures of flowers at night and he was all confused. So I was all giddy and I just spilled it b/c we were trying and he was getting upset because he thought his little men werent working (not sure why because we got pregnant right away)
Then I snapped some pics for a scrapbook. Excuse the beard he was on vacation

NOT TTC yet but i have been thinking about it dh is a huge mets fan and since by then i will not know what it is. I was thinking of getting him a mets rattle lol or something mets/baby related

I love the t-shirt of the work boots and the kids sneakers sitting next to each other and the words 'The hardest job you'll ever love' I thought that would be a nice way to say it

Thanks for all the advise ladies.
I figure DH really did a great job of surprising me when he propsed, that this would be a nice chance to do the same for him.
Funny though as much as I can't wait, its nothing compared to DH, he has a SEVERE case of baby fever!! He wishes we were already pregnant, but we talked about it and we will start trying with in a few months.

Not married nor TTC yet....but i've been thinking about it.....FH is a HUGE yankees fan so i was thinking of making a shirt that says 'Future Yankee Fan' with arrows pointing to my belly.....and just randomly wearing it one day!

I have a good 'how to tell the grandparents' one...
So it's the day after my wedding, Sunday the 25 of June... and we're with our family in New York City, as his side of the family is from a good several states away and wanted to explore. We're all eating in Chinatown and we start taking pictures in the restaurant. Tom, my sister-in-law's husband, is taking a picture of my parents-in-law with their siblings, and as he's giving them something to say instead of 'cheese' he says 'Say we're going to be grandparents!' Then snaps the photo. There was a slight pause of confusion and taking in what he just said... and then he follows up with 'No, really.' and then they burst out with excitement.
It was most amusing to watch :) She actually found out she was pregnant on the Wednesday before my wedding, but waited until the day after my wedding so as not to steal any of my thunder :)
