I am not pregnant, but we will start trying soon, and it got me thinking when it happens how to tell DH in a sweet and / or creative way.
How did you ladies do it??

im not sure i would be able to hold out that long... i would want him with me as i was peeing on the stick (well not as i was actually peeing, but when i was looking at it afterwards)
but i would want to tell the grandparents in a fun way...
I have a good 'how to tell the grandparents' one...
So it's the day after my wedding, Sunday the 25 of June... and we're with our family in New York City, as his side of the family is from a good several states away and wanted to explore. We're all eating in Chinatown and we start taking pictures in the restaurant. Tom, my sister-in-law's husband, is taking a picture of my parents-in-law with their siblings, and as he's giving them something to say instead of 'cheese' he says 'Say we're going to be grandparents!' Then snaps the photo. There was a slight pause of confusion and taking in what he just said... and then he follows up with 'No, really.' and then they burst out with excitement.
It was most amusing to watch :) She actually found out she was pregnant on the Wednesday before my wedding, but waited until the day after my wedding so as not to steal any of my thunder :)
Thats really cute!!!!

I know how we're telling the grandparents when the time comes, but have no clue how I would tell DH.
For the grandparents (if we could hold out this long) I would buy a pair of booties and mail each of our parents one bootie.
For DH, I have no clue. I keep thinking I would serve him dinner, but instead of putting dinner on the plate I serve him a plate with a rattle on it.

Hehe, the DH part reminds me of Full House where Becky served Jesse the meal with all of the baby things, baby carrots, etc.
Wow. Don't know WHY I would remember that!!
I think my DH would be testing with me....we are just like that.

Re: How did you tell DH you were Pregnant??
Well I had the pleasure of telling FH today that we are expecting. I gave him this poem on a pretty card:
Plans are in motion, September 2nd is getting near We'll be husband and wife, I cant believe it's almost here.
Getting things accomplished was no easy feat But it was easy with you by my side, being so sweet.
But there is one thing left, that I must still do That's to try and figure out how I can tell you.
There's another date that you must remember And no Josh this one is NOT in September.
The planning for this, nine months from beginning to end, This could not be accomplished without you, my best friend.
Have you figured it out, Yes, No, Maybe? I love you Josh and it's YES! We're having a BABY!
7/25/06 ** Update**
It went over very well! FH is ecstatic!!!
