He didnt, we went out to dinner and we happened to run into some of his buddies he introduced me to them as his girl friend. Needless to say I was speechless and happy.

He asked me one night while we were in Sheepsead Bay during dinner to be his gf...i said no b/c i didnt believe a long distance relationship would ever work. I broke his heart but he was a persistant guy and never gave up thankfully!

he didn't really 'ask' me.....it just happened. About a month into dating, I was at his apt. and on his computer, and I snooped in the history and saw that he had been on Match.com.
I knew that after only a month into dating, I had no right to be so upset, and certainly no right to snoop.....but I really was so dissappointed.........and I confronted him about it. He told me that 'I was it' and he had no interest in anyone else. I knew from his eyes that he really meant it.
So, I guess he never really asked me.....it just got figured out.

Hehehe, it was funny b/c apparently DH never had to ask a girl before but I was tricky :) We dated exclusively for about a month and one day on the phone he just straight out asked me 'do you consider me your boyfriend?' I totally thought it was assumed already but I guess not. I quickly replied 'of course I consider you my Boy friend' I heard a loud sigh of relief

He asked me on Christmas Eve at a big christmas dinner for his family. It was right after dessert. We were sitting at the kitchen table. It was nice I was so happy.

Well, I will never live this story down. We had hooked up but never talked about what we were. We obviously liked each other. All my friends were pressuring me to ask him what was going on with us. We were still in high school by the way. So I asked him what the deal was. And he said, 'I don't know, do you like wanna, uh, go out?' From the way he said it I thought he actually had no interest in dating me and was saying it because he felt he had to. So I said no! But we've been together ever since, go figure.

After about a month of dating he came over my house and we were just sitting around watching a soccer game and he told me he had been thinking and thought it would be a good idea to be exclusive lol I agreed and we've been together ever since

My story- not so much- We were hanging out alot in Dec 98, I was a senior in HS. We started hanging out every DAY after the New Year and he asked me if I'd be his girlfriend on my front porch when I walked him out of my house on the night of Jan 8, 1999
8 years pass and now we're married

I went over his house after a party, and he was a little drunk. We were just sitting on his couch, and he he asked me if I would be his girl...I thought it was so sweet the way he asked me. I sd yes, and we have been together since.
eta: I thought since he was drunk he wouldnt have remembered the next day, but he never forgot

He said after about 3 weeks of dating, That he would not be dating anyone else and hoped that i wouldn't date anyone either. I said that i would have to think about it, because i had two dates that next week with two different guys. I thought for about two days, and said if he is willing to take a chance on me....i should do the same. I cancelled both dates....and i have to say..i'm so glad that i did! He is everything and more I wanted in a Husband.

This is a funny story!!
For our first date he asked me to go out and have drinks with him, he told me he was trying to get a group together but nobody wanted to go out. I saw through that but went along with it bc I wanted to be alone with him anyway!!
So a few weeks go by and we continued seeing each other but we never used the terms bf/gf. So one night he told me he loved me and I told him the same. That night he was driving me home and I just couldn't take it anymore, so I asked: 'So like, I mean, like um, are we official now?'. DH clearly not familiar with the term 'official' gives me a confused look and says 'What do you mean like....?' and he salutes me!!!!! So I said: No, I mean are we offically dating? Can I call you my boyfriend?' He said, 'Well I hope so considering I just professed my love for you!!'
