How do I clean wood floors? Boring, I know but you girls know everything.

Someone suggested 'Murphys Oil'. Does that clean or just shine? We have a big puppy and they are GROSS. Tried hot water/soap, it didnt get all the grossness up. Any suggestions?

I mostly use our Swiffer mop on our wood floors... I don't know if the Swiffer is good or bad for wood or not, but since we're still renting I'm not too anal about it.

I believe Murphys Oil does clean them.

first i sweep or swiffer with the dry cloth and then i go over it with a steamer mop.

I just got a steam mop and I think that would probably work great. You don't need any cleansers and it seems to work better than the swiffer. I had the bissell shipped from amazon for under $50!

Those steam mops are supposed to be good but I use either Murphys or Fabuloso (so cheap and it smells DELISH!) with scorching water and a plain old sponge mop!

I just did mine on hands and knees with the Murphys Oil, hot water and a rag. Worked great.

I do the same. I have the Shark steam mop and I love it.

Well u shouldnt soak wood floors so when we (and in we i mean the DH lol) clean them we mop with Mr. Clean for wood floors & as 'we' mop we dry them immediately with a towel. I only mop like this every other week the week in between we swiffer. HTH
