How do you feel about adoption?

How do you feel about adoption?

I'm just curious because I always wanted to have 1 biological and 1 adopted child, dh feels the same way, we really think is the right thing to do and we're both crazy about kids and would love to give a great life to one that wouldn't be so fortunate elsewhere. My dad completely supports and encourages our choice, my mom is not too fond of the idea, dh's parents say whatever we want. Well, anyways, just wanted to see what you guys think of it...
Yes, I do have a little Angelina's inside of me but too bad we don't have the same bank accounts!

DH and I have talked about it and if God doesn't bless us with a biological one, we do plan to adopt.

I think adoption is wonderful. My grandmother had one biological child and adopted 4 children! I would love to have biological children and possibly adopt too!

Re: How do you feel about adoption?

I think it's a wonderful idea. My parents had a foster child once (it was my cousin's son and she couldnt care for him) We had him for two years and I was only 19--but I loved him and took care of him like he was my son. Ever since then, I've always said that I would like to adopt..there are so many children already here who need good homes..it's nice to have your own, but it's wonderful to be able to help a child who's already here too.

I have PCOS, so DH and I have decided that if I can't get preggers, we'll probably try to adopt first, rather than deal with IVF and things like that.

I think it's a wonderful thing that you are considering it.

Re: How do you feel about adoption?

I was adopted when I was 2 days old and I am so thankful every day for the amazing life that my parents have given me. I also have the utmost respect for my biological mother for being such a selfless and giving woman who knew that she would not be able to provide for me Alot of people have issues with adoption, but you have to go with your heart. Feel free to FM me if you have any questions.

That's so awesome and that's exactly how I feel deep in my heart I want to have a child that will grow up and think and feel the same way that you do. That's my goal!

Re: How do you feel about adoption?

I love the idea...I actually would rather adopt than have a biological child. I have some medical issues which are a concern to me if I get pregnant (I am not against trying though). I love what Angelina did and would love to do the same...just maybe not so many

Re: How do you feel about adoption?

I think adoption is a wonderful way to really make a difference to someone less fortunate.

I am not for kids, but i would defin adopt over going through any fertility treatments like IVF or hormones or pills.
I just feel there is not enough evidence on the side effects they can cause, and I dont want to make myself sick years down the line, when the child would need me most.

Re: How do you feel about adoption?

im crashing - but i want 1 biological and 1 adopted as well.- i never met anyone before who wanted the same so that is why im crashing.....FH is on the fence, he favors both biological but there is a part of me that really wants to adopt, i know its nice to have your own chid but there are so many children who need homes....a lot of mothers tell me that once you have your own you arent going to want to adopt anymore - i dont know if thats true for everyone though.....i guess the whole being pregnant part and bonding is something that they say cant be replaced but i dont know, i just feel like i was born to adopt
