How do you wear your wedding rings?

My mother told me nothing should be closer to your heart than your marriage...which is why the wedding band is supposed to be on the inside. But I've seen it different ways as well.

that is what I heard too.

Some people say the wedding band should be closest to your heart. Other people say the wedding band seals in the engagement forever, so it goes on the outside.

I say I like the way my wedding band looks on the outside better, so that's how I'll wear it There is no wrong way.

That's what I heard and how I wear mine... but since my e-ring is a 1/2 - 1 size bigger then my wedding band, I will switch them in the winter. lol

I wear my wedding band on the outside, this way its not blocked by my e-ring, also my jeweler told me thats the way its supposed to be.

My SIL told me that thing about it being closer to your heart, I was already comfortable wearing the wedding band on the outside, so I said to DH, Well I'll just keep the more expensive one closer to my heart

I wear my wedding band on my left hand and my e-ring on my right. My e-ring is an emerald cut and it doesn't sit right with my princess cut eternity band.
I think it is a NY thing to do it this wasy because anyone that I have met since being married asks me why I don't wear my e-ring. When I show them it is on my right hand, they ask me why

that's interesting! i'm glad i'm not alone! growing up, i always saw mother wear hers apart and i think i'm also just naturally following suit. also, i'm very anal and the platinum can scratch when you wear them together!

I wear one on each hand...more bling that way!

I wear my e-ring first and then I have my wedding band..

I see it as my e-ring came first, DH first symbol of his love and then our wedding band our eternity.. (also as a protector of my e-ring so I dont lose it )

I wear my wedding band first, then my e-ring. I also heard that the wedding band is supposed to be closest to the heart...of course, I heard this on LIW!

I have an antique art-deco engagement ring and a modern funky style colored stone band...they look completely weird together so i wear the band on the left and the e-ring on my right hand.

i don't think there's any one right way to do it, but i did want to keep to the tradition of the band on the left hand.
