How 'hearty' are your lunches?

How 'hearty' are your lunches?

When I'm in the office pantry heating up my lunch in the microwave...I see people (mostly women) picking up something small like a yogurt and some granola and when I chat with them they tell me thats their lunch.

Then the microwave beeps and I take out my entire platter of baked ziti and chicken parm.

My friend at work just eats almonds and some oatmeal. i dont get it. i need more food than that!!

what about you guys? do you bring full meals into work for lunch like I do?

I usually bring some leftovers (like a cup of pasta) a lean cuisine, maybe a big salad, that sort of thing.

Mind you - I'm STARVING though.

I am wiping the grease off of my chin from the yummy garlic knots and pizza that I just had for lunch. I eat this almost everyday. A salad or yogurt would never fill me up.

I have to have something substantial and than a snack after. If i just had a yogurt and granola I would be eating my desk after there is no way I could get through the day! I am hungry just thinking about it!

I wish they were more hearty. Im trying to keep the calorie count down during the day because i eat pretty big dinners with DH. But, i cant just eat a handful of granola and a yogurt. Lately for lunch i have been eating the WW soup and an apple or a pear. Today i had an oatmeal and a hard boiled egg for breakfast. Im still hungry.

I am!! But i dont know how else to keep within a certain amount of calories. I cant just sit and watch DH eat big meals at night, i have to join him! So i try to save up the calories for home- doesnt always work though.

I usually have a whole wheat sandwich or a turkey burger with no bread.

Shortly after lunch I have my afternoon snack

I eat way to much

Today a made a sandwich with deli selects and cheese on WW bread 5pts and had some tomato soup 2 points. It was a very filling way to eat less calories in my opinion. Later I will have an entire grapefruit for a snack and a salad with dinner.

yogurt and granola??? how??

I usually eat meals equal to dinner for lunch. Not LARGE meals, but the filling enough.

Breakfast is smaller..like a oatmeal packet w/ added protein powder.
