I was wondering how long some of you ladies are waiting for have children if you dont already have any?? I was thinking about 1 yr to 2??? Any thoughts???

dh and i just had this talk lastnight... were thinking ill stop BCP in a year and take it from there.. were living in an apt. in my parents house.. we really want and need to be out of here before any so we'll see.. we've only been married 17 days!

we waited 4 months.
at that point - we were together for more than 5 and a half years though & lived together for 5 of those years.

ohh congrats and good luck I was thinking I should wait until after I start my masters progrm in september but if it happens it happens I am not taking any Birth control but I am not careless either..lol

maybe by end of next year we'll start trying -- so i guess 2-3 years from our wedding date would be when we start TTC

Not pregnant yet - still trying...
on average - i have been told (by a friend who went to a fertility clinic) that it takes a healthy couple 6-9 months to conceive. I'm FAR from healthy....
ETA: came off the pill in March. It takes time for your body to regulate once you've been on the pill for 10 years... In actuality, this is our 2nd month flat out, FULL FLEDGED trying....but we stopped being careful in March.

we'll just be in a much better place with everything by then- financially, have a home (in townhome now), etc.

well we just got married 3/29/08 so we are going to try after our vegas trip on 6/2009 so about 1 and 1/2 years

A few years at the very least. We've been married for almost a year but I want to work on my career before I become a mom. I would say we will start trying in about 3.5 years.

We are waiting a few years. I want to enjoy married life for a little while before we bring a child into this world. Also, I'd like to be a little more financially stable.

same here...i'd like to REALLY pursue my acting career, and also get a few nice vacations under our belt with just the two of us...and have our finances straight. we said about 4-5years from our wedding date....so in december that'll be about 2-3more years. I'd really like to wait out the full extra 3, but it'll probably happen more so within the 2year frame....lol. but we'll seeeeee

We decided to wait a 1 to 2 years for kids. We want to buy a house first and enjoy our marriage then work on the kids.

Probably another 2 years here, too. We just want to be married for a little while before having a baby. We may get a dog next year though.
