How long are you ladies waiting???

I was wondering how long some of you ladies are waiting for have children if you dont already have any?? I was thinking about 1 yr to 2??? Any thoughts???

We are in a year or so. We want to make sure we are financially stable first.

2 more years... only because I'm starting graduate school.

otherwise I would get on it b/c I be getting OOOOOOOOLD ... my eggs are going to dry up and fall out...

we waited 4 months.

at that point - we were together for more than 5 and a half years though & lived together for 5 of those years.

We have been living for almost 2 yrs together and married 50 days. So I am assuming you are still prego???? If I looked at your wedding date right??

Not pregnant yet - still trying...

on average - i have been told (by a friend who went to a fertility clinic) that it takes a healthy couple 6-9 months to conceive. I'm FAR from healthy....

ETA: came off the pill in March. It takes time for your body to regulate once you've been on the pill for 10 years... In actuality, this is our 2nd month flat out, FULL FLEDGED trying....but we stopped being careful in March.

opps okay makes perfect sense,, it does take sometime for the pill to get out of your system,, well good luck with that and enjoy,, PUT IN SOME OT girlly

Probably another 2 years here, too.
We just want to be married for a little while before having a baby.
We may get a dog next year though.

I am waiting for the doggy,, I want a doggie!!!

2-3 years is the plan...but best laid plans are not always the plans of TPTB.

We put all discussion on hold when my back was bad and the docs were talking surgery. But we've been talking about it alot again. We're hoping to begin trying next year.

we are in a miniature 1 bedroom apartment right now, and are hoping to buy a soon ...

we might have jumped on the bandwagon sooner if it wasn't for all the health problems i've been having ... definitely need to get through all this cr@p first!

We waited a month and got pregnant on the first try....we weren't sure how long it would take!!!

We were going to try right away. Although we have been enjoying are marriage so much that we dont want it to change just yet. I do have baby fever...and I have had if for two years. I just know that for us...its better to wait. We are focused on education and a house first.

We are going to wait 3 years and then go from there. We're not ready for babies yet.

we are waiting another year to 2 years. i am starting a new position in september, and i want to travel a little bit more...so hopefully by the end of 2009 we will start..

We had one night of indiscretion a few weeks ago- so it could be now- though I'm hoping it's not.

It will probably wind up being more like 1.5-2yrs.

I think soon after our 1 year mark, which is only 2 months away!! originally I was thinking of waiting another year, but then I'll already be 30 when I have my first, and DH will be 35! even though we don't feel 100% 'ready' we figured we should do it sooner than later since we want 2-3 kids.......and as I'm told from anyone who has kids- you are NEVER completely ready!
