i sent in my announcement over 2 weeks ago. i know they call you to confirm everything but no call yet. how long did it take you to get a call from them and how long after that was it published?

I sent it in & didn't hear in about 5 weeks, so I called & she said I'm in the pile & they do it in the order they receive, usually 6-8 weeks---but she bumped me to the front.

It took about a month and they called me to let me know it would be in the paper that weekend.

Ours was 'lost in the mail' about three times. DH was the one following up and they were giving him a bit of a run around. He finally went in person to deliver it. We almost gave up having our announcement in. Almost everyone we knew on Long Island has had their announcement in Newsday, so we didn't give up and we finally got it in .

update: i spoke to the woman today. they received our info and we will be in the oct 29th issue!
