How long did it take you to get your editied & finished video?

How long did it take you to get your editied & finished video?

It's been 2 months and I haven't seen a thing and we have called 2 times just to get a round about idea as to when we're getting it.
I'm getting really annoyed and DH says I'm crazy--- that it usually takes as long as 6 months!!!

How long did it take for yours to come? Am I nuts for being mad?

2 months exactly
We got the call that our finished video ws ready to be picked up on our two-month anniversary

but i think it was done really really early!

I got to see some raw footage a few days after my wedding.

We took a delayed hm and they were going to include those pictures at the end, so it was 4 months after my wedding that I sent them there.

I ultimately got the video 6 months after my wedding, but some of that was due to my late hm.

ETA: You called twice and they didn't call you back?

we got ours in a little over a month.

BUT we didn't get to see raw footage first or have any say about what to put in the edited which we were a little disappointed with. there were some things i would have liked to swap with other things. (and there was another problem which is being fixed)

We spoke to him, he just couldn't give us a date as to when it would be finished. He just kept going on and on about the features that he was adding in, which is cool, but I just feel it is taking too long.

If he is in contact with you then I wouldn't be worried. He may just be busy with a lot of videos. I would think he could give you a time estimate but maybe he is new at this and can't estimate how long it takes.

I would be worried if you said he didn't call you back. I'm glad to hear that he did!

At the moment, it's all me holding it up! We've had the raw footage for about 3 weeks (although it came later than he promised).

I cannot for the life of me think of any instrumental songs that he says he needs!!!

I was told for myt video It would be 5-6 months after you drop off pics and songs...so I am at 5 months now...one month to go!!!!YEA!!! I want my video!!!

When we booked our videographer, they said approx 6 months once we submit everything and that's exactly how long it took.

We used Candlelite and it took exactly 6 mos from the wedding date. As soon as we returned from HM, we sent over the baby/growing up pics and song list - we didnt include HM pics.

I hear some people wait a yr - it really depends on the length of the video, your place and how long it takes you to provide the deliverables they need.

3 weeks...I couldn't believe it! BUT, we didn't do all the baby pictures and songs, etc. We just had our invitation, and some e-pics, and then the wedding.

Got the edited video after about 6 weeks (they forgot to add the unedited with it so I picked that up 2 weeks later with the DVD that we had made). Needless to say, the DVD has to go back because it was done very poorly.
