How long to do your wedding album?

I am feeling sooo behind! The thought of going through all of our proofs and picking out our album makes me ill.

I just have absolutely NO motivation whatsoever to do it. I am an accountant, just ending my busy season and it has now been about 4 months since our wedding, and I think Duet said they wanted the proofs within 3 months of receipt...

Did anyone else go through this?!?!?!

Anyone have any suggestions regarding how to make the process less painful?!?!

Not to mention, selecting and starting the thank yous!?!?!

we just picked up our albums last week so it takes a while... our album is beautiful so worth the wait!!

I know I dont want to be one of those brides who takes forever to get her video and album done. I am sure it wont take ME very long to choose pictures but our parents will take longer. My plan is to make an appointment with the photographer and to work within a time frame. That is how the parents will be forced to hustle.

Because we bought a house right after the wedding that needed to be gutted... almost and we were living with IL's for 4 months after we sold our first house...

It took me til the end of January to even drop everything off and we were married on July4th. They say my enlargements are ready but I only got my album layout e-mailed to me last week and it is WAY wrong... pics all out of order and some duplicates Why am I eating my cake on one page and then cutting it two pages later? Then they send me an e-mail saying it will be two more months after all of the changes are made. This is a lot longer than they originally told me. Of course, I don't have a minute to get to the photgrapher until next week because of so many other things going on.

I just want my album by my 1st anniversary

We haven't done ours either...you figure after our weddings we had our HM, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then New Year's...then DH & I had TWOTY...by this time we were soooo wedding'd out we could care less! Then we had a vaca planned which got cancelled because of an illness in the family now that everything is ok...again...no desire to do it. We were hoping that once we get our video we'll get motivated, but when I called last week it'll be another 6 weeks until we get our video....oh well!

we have no video, and have not even selected the albums yet and we are going to married 9 months

I did my album on Feb 4th-- my wedding date was April 16th-- won't have my album for our 1 yr anniversary- but at least we finally did it-- so yes- you are not the only procrastinator out there!

we dont have our album yet and we are married 18 months

We've yet to do either. I really want to do the thank you but DH has been putting it off.

It took us a day to decide on our wedding album photos but (of course!) it was more complicated trying to coordinate with our parents to get theirs chosen.

But we had to wait a really long time to get an appointment with our album designer because she only does one appointment on a Saturday - so we made our appointment in Sept and the first Saturday she had open was in January! Then, it's an additional 8 months for us to get our album. So, my advice is to do things as soon as possible!

we didn't start the process until 6 mths after the wedding. Needless to say we are still waiting for our album. It should be ready soon though!

It took us about 6 weeks to decide on pics for our album.
