how many no's did you get??

Hello happy newlyweds...hope you don't mind my posting here...but i have a quick question..

i've been AGONIZING over my guest list...we originally were planning for 120 people, but now i feel if we limit it to 100 it'll save us a lot of money...

but my question is how many no's did you guys get? i'm planning on inviting 130 on my definite list and i have 20 people on backup (my co-workers)

problem is, i want a couple of my co-workers to be there, but i work in a small lab and can't' invite one without inving all...any advice from experience???

We invited about 235 and had 158 show at the wedding. They say you should count on a 20% No response, and I had a little over that.

We invited about 187 & we had a 100 yes's. Our problem was most of the no's were from friends & family in Ireland. And the fact that we got married on memerial day weekend some people went away.

Invited 180 had 138 which is quite close to the 20% that I was expecting (only off by two)

180 people actually attended.

We invited 223 and we had 159 (didn't make our 175 minimum head count).

We invited about 270/280 and had about 222 come. You're always going get a certain percentage of people saying no.

I had cancellations up until the day of my wedding! I remember while we were taking pictures at the hall the maitre'd came up to me with one of my name cards and said that that person had just called to cancel. That was one of my co-workers....Ugggh!

okay great!!

so i can invite my co-workers then and rest easy...if it's about 20% that will bring my number to 109...

plus i have people from paris and canada and i'm sure a lot of them won't be coming as well as a few couples from california and florida...

man i hope it works out...thanks alot!
