One couple had a good excuse- DH's cousin found out her DH was cheating on her the night before!! They weren't even married a year!

One couple canceled about a week before because the wife had to have emergency surgery! Completely understandable!

3 - one was sick, one out of state person had their car break down, and the third person never got back to me with an excuse. He was a friend from college who I haven't seen in years so when I didn't see him there it made me feel dissapointed. Didn't ruin my wedding but I'm still pissed that he didn't have the nerve to cancel at the last minute or even call or email apologizing for not showing up. People suck sometimes.

We had a few cancellations a right before we gave the final count and then 13 no shows on the day of.
2 people got stuck travelling in from the midwest because of a huge snowstorm
5 people had a sick child or parent and either sent their spouse or sent a family member with their gift and their sincerest apologies
2 people responded they were bringing a date and came solo (one told me the day after I gave the final count and the other never mentioned anything)
4 people just didn't show up (we finally received an apology - well, my parents did - i was there too but, didn't receive one - in May at my cousin's wedding)

but they sent a gift later on so that was nice... they got the dates confused!!
