A bunch of my and DH's friends have given up smoking within the past few months. I'm SO proud of them!! DH used to smoke but quit about a year into our relationship!!!

I don't smoke at all... DH smokes when he drinks and is TRYING to stop- mainly because I hate it and have begged him to quit for good. He said he would quit on New Years Day (my bday) and that lasted 17 days!!!!! So he is still trying...

I was a heavy smopker in hitghschool-it was the 'cool' thing and I went with it then got addicted but quit cold turkey my first year in college because I discovered Ben & Jerrys ice cream as a vice instead and gained the freshman 20....Yes I said 20.,,,but I weight 100 pounds when I started college so it was ok lol.
I didn't find it hard to quit but I only smoked for 3 years so maybe that is why. I CANNOT STAND the scent of it now. WHat bugs me the most is people who smoke while waiitng for a bus and standing next to me o na line. its called being CONSIDERATE you jerk!
