I don't even want to talk about it! We got NOTHING from a bunch of folks..promising gifts before the one year was up. Well, it was up 2 months ago!not even a card!
Don't get me started on the no-shows, and last minute cancellations!

Don't feel too bad. One of my sisters did not bother to show up for my wedding. She didn't call, didn't send a card or gift and has never explained in the almost 2 years since! For more than a year no one in my family spoke to her because of this. I still have not spoken to her(there are other issues as well) and this is something that really bothers me. I don't like to see my family divided.

we had 3 no shows and 2 people who gave nothing.I honestly do not understand what is wrong with people - it is just rude

!!my MIL didn't give us a card or a gift...but I think US weddings are different for her...I really don't care though...I love her nonetheless!!
but she did go to Spain (for 9 months!!! - 7 more than she thought) to sell DH's house for us...
one of those times that actions speak louder than words...
and DH's uncle gave us a small tiny cake topper with congratulations written on the bottom!! again...I am not upset about it...hes an old man and what does he know...he was never married...it was just nice to have him there...since he is the only relative of DH's father that we know
