Re: How many proofs?
Neva: Actually, I think its easier to choose when you have so many. Yes, I have lots more favorite photos than room in my album but I have so many that I know no matter which I pick, I will still have a great album. Does that make sense?

Re: How many proofs?
Yes I see that view too. How many pics do you plan to put in your album?

I have 1800 proofs (color, b&w, highspeed color, high speed b&w, medium format and natural lighting). Mark Kauffman Studios.250 is NOT enough!

Re: How many proofs?
We havent had our appt yet but I dont plan on going much over my original 50 pages. (maybe a little) We have already spent so much on the wedding, I just dont want to spend another fortune. Of course I reserve the right to change my mind :D

Re: How many proofs?
We got over 600 and I think they were too much to look at even tho' I look at them every day. Imagine Studios was our Photographer. Putting our album together was not hard, I picked the best of all the pix with my mom, then Roger and I sat with Lia for over 4 hours and that was it. We get it back next month. Yipee!!!

Re: How many proofs?
300 proofs - not enough. I think 500-700 is an ideal number.

Re: How many proofs?
We got about 1200 (guessing). We used Sherwood-Triart and had a regular photographer and a separate photojournalistic one.

I got about 1000 - half black and white and half color. I used Ed Collins Photography - I loved him. He was so excellent to work with and the pics are great! www.edcollinsphoto.com - check him out! Good luck!!

Re: How many proofs?
I think it also depends on the TYPE of photos you want. Scott and I wanted some of the 'photojournalist' type photos- a term that is way too easily thrown around these days. We wanted not just the 'big' moments captured but also the 'small' non-showy moments. Most photographers capture the cake cutting, first dance, kiss at the ceremony, toast. But we wanted the hand-hold, the look across the room, the friends having a special moment captured. 300 proofs is not enough to cover all of those. Plus you have to take out the photos where someone's eyes are closed, that funny smile that you hate etc....

Re: How many proofs?
We had at least 1000, but I didn't count. I think the photographers who do a more photojournalistic style end up with more proofs because they're always snapping away for the candid shots.Edited to add....we also had 3 other people working alongside our photographer, so every moment was captured, from different angles and in both color and black and white! So happy!
