Awww...i hate the whole concept of illegal dog fighting & how people can enjoy animals hurting each other...makes me sick..especially when i hear they would use a small dog like my little girl as bait....I think it's important that people remember these are animals...no matter what size, breed, etc...you need to use common sense when approaching ANY animal...hell my little terrier will try and kill you if you come to the house & she doesn't know you...it's so embarassing! haha...but she is also a rescue dog & we beleive she was abused my some of her behavior...but to us she is the sweetest most precious thing...when not trying to kill the mailman...haha.
Now why would someone be scared AFTER petting her??? hahah...that is just dumb...i am glad you are enlightening us!!! I love all animals...many people i could do without!!
Ive been it my many a little dog!!! But they do no harm!
Yep people will ask while petting her is she is a dalmation b/c as if the clipped ears dont give her away and when we say pit they practically trip over themselves to get away-its quite the site.

Re: How mean could she be?
Our family has a pit bull. Pure pit bull. We got her when she was a little less than 1 yr old...so we have no idea where she was before hand. I figure she was let loose because she has kidney problems.
She's a sweet heart. She LOVES us & those around her. She's a SUPER smart dog. She likes to be tucked in when she goes to sleep, ect.
BUT....she picks random people on the street that she 'doesn't like' & gives this scary gutteral growl. God forbid someone breaks into the house...she will EAT them. She's SUPER muscular. I just don't trust her 100%.... Maybe because we didn't have her as a puppy....but she's NO golden retriever.
That being said, I had a MEAN, attack Pomeranian. Dumb little thing was just so small...even if he locked down...you would just get little bloody marks where his tiny needle teeth penetrated your arm.

Ours is no Golden Retriever either! She is a big mush and trainged well but throw a ball she looks at you like 'now go get it'
Ours is the same way-she picks and chooses who to growl at-she hates people with beards, people wearing hats...she REALLY hates cops which is hysterical b/c FIL was a cop!!! But she would growl at him and hold him hostage at the front door when he came home...she hates a uniform!!! People on bicycles get the worst of it b/c she tries to eat the tires-even if its moving!!

Oh and not trusting her 100% is being a responsible owner-we trust ours but not 100% b/c no matter what she is STILL an animal not a human. If people thought more the way you do there would be less people getting bitten by animals
