Hi, it has been quite a while since I've posted but does anyone have an idea of the average cost of a trip to Italy. DH and I want to take advantage of the lowered prices but we aren't sure if the prices are that much lower than 'normal'. We are thinking of a 10 day trip to Rome, Florence, and Venice. TIA!

Re: How much for a trip to Italy?
Just today I saw airfare to rome from NY, $506 roundtrip. Some of the new deals out also give you great deals on hotels plus flights.
All depends also on what type of hotels you want to stay at, can make a huge difference in price. Plus how you'll get from one place to another and type of things you want to do. But even at lets say $200 a night which isnt bad but there are deals for $200 and under now, thats $2k for hotels plus about $1k for flights. Also time of year you go will make a big difference. Then include spending money and can reach about $4k or alot more just depends on what you do. You can do more low key or be more extravagant. Now is a good time to go bc of all the great deals out there.

Re: How much for a trip to Italy?
My parents just booked their flights to Italy for this summer. They are flying to Rome first and takinga connecting flight to Calabria. They are leaving the end of June and they paid about $980 pp. (This is just airfare...they have a house there)
Shop around and try different agents to get the best rate. When I looked on the computer for them the best rate I found was $1250 each!
