Are you talking for a car or for a home?
ETA: I am going to assume for a home. My home is gas heat/water but electric cooking.
We bought our house on Halloween 2008 and for the first few months being in there our gas bill ranged from $185-$381. By the time spring came and I didn't use the heat as much the bill went down to about $100. In the summer months my bill averaged $40 per month. Then in September I put us on a budget because I knew with the winter months coming the bill would go up again. National Grid averaged all of the months to give me a price for my budget. I now pay $112.00 per month....which is great for the winter months but not so great for the summer months. At the end of the year of being on a budget you will end up with money credited to your account and will most likely not have to pay two months of bills (or so this is what my father says because I defaulted to him before going on the budget).

About $20-30 but I do more cooking upstairs. I assumed home gas bill and not car too.

If its just cooking gas it will be minimal if its heating it depends on the size of the apt/house. I paid heat in an apt (1 bedroom but really old house with bad insulation) once and in the winter the gas bill was around $100/month but in the summer it was $10 because it was only cooking.

Do you mean like your National Grid gas bill? Also what kind of heat do you have? I have a gas stove and hot air so we use a lot of gas, but the furnace is over 50 yrs old and the windows **** so unfortunalty we use alot but that will be changing soon when we update the house...cant wait Oh our 1st bill was about $400, it was an estimate but not to far off
