Re: How much time did you spend taking pictures?

About 30 minutes or so before the ceremony.
One hour during cocktail hour
and the random times throughout the night which was another 30 minutes maybe.
All in addition to the the noral stuff the photographer takes at a wedding reception.

Re: How much time did you spend taking pictures?

We started taking pictures at about 3pm and finished at 6pm (we decided to take MAJORITY of our pictures beforehand). And maybe 15 minutes after the ceremony.

ETA: this obviously includes all the pix taken while getting dressed as well.

Re: How much time did you spend taking pictures?

My photographer got there at 3:30 and she was ther euntil 5 taking gettign ready shots. then during cocktail hour maybe the most was 20 minutes.

During the reception we went outside to take night shots which took about 20-30 minutes. I had over 500 pictures and was very pleased with the amount being we got married at Villa's.

Re: How much time did you spend taking pictures?

4 hours and we still could have used more time! We have over 1,200 proofs that I still haven't gone through yet.

Re: How much time did you spend taking pictures?

30 minutes prior at my house (my girls, family and myself)
10 minutes prior at church (dh and best man)

(During Mass, Recieving Line, Leaving Church)

1 hour at Suny Farmingdale Rose Garden

30minutes of the Cocktail Hour

(Random shots during Reception taken during special events, candid... etc)

Ended up with over 450 proofs and the only shot I don't have that I wanted was a close up shot of our rings but I never asked for it and looking back I can have the ability to see our rings every day so why would I need an upclose shot. I have various pictures of us giving each other our rings.

Then they took pictures at Danielle's until and after the Limos showed up at 2:30

Then we went to the Planting fields till 4:30pm

Then we went to the Huntington Townhouse at 5pm and took pics until the ceremony, after the ceremony in the cocktail hour...and tons of pics during the reception.

Re: How much time did you spend taking pictures?

Not as much as I would like!

I took about 1/2 hour with my family and bm's at my house before (and would have liked 1.5 hours looking back). Then during the cocktail hour (which I wanted to be at b/c my horrible limo company got lost and I knew the directions and he wouldn't listen to me! So we arrived an hour later than our guests to the reception! Then I had to leave the reception for about 1/2 hour to take more. In an ideal world, I would have liked 1.5 hours before, 2 hours between church and reception and then made my CH and not missed any reception.

Re: How much time did you spend taking pictures?

A lot (but it never does seem like enough!)

Photogs started taking pics of Me, parents and girls at the hotel at 10:30. Started taking pics of DH , guys and his family by 11am (our church ceremony was at 1pm)

Took pics at church after ceremony from 2:30-3pm (.5 hours)

Pics from 3-4:30 at Vanderbilt Museum (1.5 hours)

Pics at Thatched Cottage from 5-6pm (1 hour)

No more posed shots after that, but plenty of pics during reception, of course

SO I'd say 3 solid hours of picture taking for me & DH, bridal party and parents (we had a rather large gap in betwen wedding and reception, though)

Re: How much time did you spend taking pictures?

My wedding was as 2 in the afternoon. The photographer showed up at noon and took pictures for a straight hour and 45 minutes.

After the mass, we stayed in the Church for about 30 minutes.

We got to the hall 4:30 and he took pictures for an hour and a half. Our cocktail hour started at 6 and we wanted to enjoy it.

Then briefly after dinner he took a couple more pictures. And of course alot of pictures during the reception.
