Since I've been married I feel like all I ever do it come home from work and clean, organize, straigthen up, etc ... I keep saying once it's all in place I'll relax on the couch - but then it's midnight and I'm off to bed. I know I've only been married for a few weeks and we are still trying to settle into our new place together but my question is ..
Do you all feel compelled to make sure 'all is in order' before you relax at night? Or do you leave it for a day or two and then straighten up & clean all at the same time?
DH is a big help but he doesn't 'see' the inorganization I see sometimes so I'm always the one up and fixing things so they are in their right place.

I do all my big cleaning on the weekend. I like things to be taken care of before I go to bed. I hate dishes in the sink. I like to keep everything neat.

straighten up every other day during the week. Major cleaning on Saturdays while DH is at work.

I straighten up with a power clean on Sat or Sun. Sometimes both days if it also involves yardwork or cleaning the cars

thank goodness my husband's parents trained him well he does all the cleaning, laundry, and food shopping....i barely cook he is very understanding...he likes to stay busy around the house me its when the stars are aligned...we're exact opposites and click

I straighten up everyday because I can not stand a mess. I clean (mop, vacuum and dust) on the weekends. My Dh cooks and does the wash so I do the cleaning. Before we got married we talked about what chores we would like to do and this was the split.

every two weeks major cleaning!! everyday vacum dust etc. My husband is a clean freak!!! OCD which is a good thing!! cleans cooks washes the cars etc!!

I feel like im constantly cleaning but its not that bad. Tuesday is laundry day and Wednesday's I do my ironing. Don does the vacuuming and he will load and unload the dishwasher.
On the weekend, I clean the bathrooms, dust, etc...

My husband is exactly the same way. He'll help, but only if I ask because he doesn't 'see' what I 'see' unless I point out to him.
I straighten up here and there every day and pick up after him and myself as much as possible. I always vacuum and go over the bathroom every week. And then once every 2 / 2.5 weeks I do a big cleaning (dusting, scrubbing, mopping, etc.) It does seem like a constantly have a pile of papers to sort and file. That's probably the worst of it though.
